    Personally I think the suit needs sanding before you painted it

    Ok, I must be doing something wrong. I can’t stop the damn thing from racking side to side. Any suggestions?

    It’s hard to say without seeing it. It sounds like you might have too much wiggle room in the tolerances, so maybe the the boards built around the pipe were too far away from each other, and then the bolts used to hold the table in place from flipping around are also not tight when push it, allowing the whole thing to slide ? Are the legs strong and sturdy and not moving side to side (this would be dangerous if they were)

    No racking front to back, just side to side. Idk if it’s too long, because you really don’t give measurements. Mine was approximately 30” wide

    I just upgraded to that exact kit and it shifts every time I tap it. I lowered tension, I increased tension to near max, I tap it to vibrate it to "settle out" and if I cough on it after it's unlevel. Idk what I'm doing wrong 😞

    😂😅 I made one from an old scooter strapped upside-down to the wall and some 2" metal fence posts welded together for the boom. Works a lot better than I expected

    Looks good guy. I don't think most people realize how bulky a suit like that would be.

  • @I2ocker89
    @I2ocker89Ай бұрын

    If you sand down that suit, put wood filler, sand again and wood filler again then sand again, you can make what you have there looks as smooth as real metal and not see all the layer lines. Check out frankly built for guides on 3d printed guides

    I need to do this, but I think I would find some PVC to put into the holes where the pipe rotates so it doesn't wallow out the wood eventually, or some type of end that rotates, I think you could have a cheaper option for the bolts that lock it in place. But nice overall, I think the top was a bit overkill with the almost solid wood top, could have been 2x4 running flat with a 2x4 frame and plywood and would have been fine.

    What is the point of the cable reel if the cable is zip tied? Also that is way too much flex hose, you are loosing a lot of suction with that. Use hard pipe where you can.
