  I have all the respect for Novak but ain't no way in hell you gonna tell me his talent's and tennis abilities are greater than Rogers. I'm not talking about who is the GOAT statistically here. In terms of tennis talent, ability, and inventory there is no greater plethora of forehands, shot combos', approach shots, ball striking. Roger would just steam roll over people in his prime at will. Novak a primarily defensive baseliner simply doesn't beat people in THAT way.

  So interesting re-watching these matches after listening to Andy's recent comments on how terrorized he was every time Rafa hit a forehand. "He'd swing that thing into my backhand - which is already a compromised shot for me - then the thing bounces on the service line and is over my head at the baseline. If I hear one more of those old commentators say '...oh just take it on the rise' I'm going to lose it!"

  So weird now Fed just smokes him here but that same year at the USO Del Poltro blows Fed off the court with his power in the last few sets (although that was a very very competitive match). I think the key is to prevent guys like Del Poltro, Wawrinka or Chilic from getting in the zone...because once they are there is no stopping them.
