So I see you've had the 800X for about 5 or so months now. Anything stand out to you to mention, anything broken yet or bent, any surprises? Are the bolts, nuts, screws metric, torx or a mixture, seem pretty sturdy and of good quality, not easily marred or stripped? I don't think I've seen you go down in any of your videos. I know on the Tuareg many have complained about the break or clutch peddles easily bending when dropped....Have you performed an oil change or any other maintenance? Can you do videos on those procedures? I did find two dealerships in North Carolina, US that carry Kove's. Reached out to try to get some updates on when it'll be released here. Thanks again for the content. Great to see the bike on terrain I typically ride on and how it looks to work just fine....and your skillset obviously...Great job.

Nothing shows rust or wear, except for the chain of course...I do think I sometimes push the bike a little too hard off road, but the bike can take it! I've done multiple maintenances, oil and filters...haven't had anything unusual in the filters or oil, usually the oil is still red when changing, the bike also doesn't consume any oil at all. The one thing I didn't like was the stock side stand...it was super high, off road I always dropped the bike because it didn't lean enough. I changed to the lower version and no worries anymore! @@Nelisjvr wonderful news!! That reliability and questioning of material durability always comes up here in the US...even for the Tuareg, mainly due to lack of dealership networks for maintenance and repairs. There is only one dealership in the whole state of NC that supports Tuaregs, which has caused a number of folks I know to avoid them, there are at least two for Kove..which was a surprise. Thanks for sharing the durability testing you've done..LOL even if not on purpose... Looking forward to any maintenance videos you can provide, as I'm a self taught tinkerer that likes to work on my own bike especially with the cost of shop work and I just like to know my motorcycle. Helps when off on a trail somewhere and need to fix something or address an issue. Interesting detail about the side stand, good to know there is option for a lower version (was that aftermarket or via Kove)? We came to a conclusion lately that 90% of all production is based in China, no matter if you buy a KTM or a Harley or whatever...the parts are made in China, even if it says something else...it might be assembled somewhere else, but it's not made there! I've seen and have too many products that are made in China that's brilliant to say anything bad, times have changed and some people are just stuck in 1980! This was rather easy, to be honest, most of it can be ridden on a road bike. Except maybe the rocky road going up closer to the middle of the video, but probably passable too. Would appreciate it if you took it to some serious off-road. Perhaps easy trails or sand/deep water if you're comfortable with that. Also.. Have you ever dropped it? “The Ride of a 1000 Bends” - fantastic ride and road and interesting perspective from your mate on the KTM. Great lines too but when pushing hard sometimes you miss the apexes slightly, the trick is not to panic and hit the brakes or the bike sits up and you’re heading for the railings! - I guess you were using your rear brake a lot? That Kove really has some grunt to keep ahead like that but with a power to weight ratio of 522bhp per ton it should be able to. Nice move putting your left hand down to warn your friend about that extremely sharp right hand corner near the end - I’d ride with you after seeing that.😊👍

Thanks! It depends, if you take the stock tuareg you cannot compare it to the Kove, it lacks power and suspension is not great. My friend did a lot of upgrades on his tuareg, from adriani suspension to an open air box and ecu tune, so his bike is pretty well set up, in my opinion it's a little too expensive for what you get, I'm super glad I bought the Kove, as I was also looking at the tuareg! Funny thing is, my biggest concern I have for this bike is not the fact that it's Chinese, but that it shares an engine with the KTM 790. I've ridden KTM since forever, and I suppose you can even call me a bit of a fanboy. But unfortunately all the horror stories of premature cam failure on the KTM 790/890 have totally put me off that engine format. Some say the Kove engine is totaly re-designed and different, others say it's the same. Don't know what to believe. If I had the reassurance the head was solid, I'd be very interested in a 800x.

The engine is not the same, I did a cam inspection just recently on 10 000km, it looks like new, and as you can see, I'm not very gentle with the bike, I hammer it on road! The cam is actually completely different, it's much longer than the KTM, not even interchangeable! Let's see what the future holds, but for no...I cannot complain!

I heard from Gary Goodwin on the Facebook page they are getting the emissions approved and it will be available In December! The bike is definitely a lot different from the CF. I took my friend's CF and it feels a lot lazier and of course 80kg heavier🙈 the power curve is also not the same...it takes much longer for the bike to reach peak power, the Kove is very similar to the ktm in power delivery, the only difference I felt was the low end torque on the KTM790 is more noticeable. I agree with you on that...the Kove is really aggressive looking and I really love the looks! Super mean! It definitely turn heads 👌🏻👌🏻especially with the super nice stainless steel exhaust 😍 everyone is jealous of my bike's stock sound!
