Hibernica

☩ Remember Limerick! ☩

Hello, I am an Irish nationalist and Catholic monarchist. On this channel I usually upload Irish* songs and marches. My goal is to preserve history and educate people on the history of Ireland, especially her role in the Empire. I like to pay tribute to the Irish regiments who fought all over the globe.

*sometimes I will upload English, Scottish, French, German or Spanish etc.

Ireland and England should strive to be allied countries for a multitude of compelling reasons that transcend historical conflicts and political differences. Building a strong alliance between these two nations could bring about significant benefits for both parties and contribute to regional stability and prosperity. 🇮🇪🫂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@@Hibernica1641 I'm curious, are you a Jacobite? Do you hope for Britain to return to Catholicism? What about Ireland? Are you in favour of a Jacobite monarch on the throne and a union with Britain?

@@Anglo-SaxonTeaDrinker Yes, I am a monarchist and a Jacobite. I personally think it would be great for Britain to return to Catholicism, but I know that's quite fanciful. I would like the situation to be like how it was pre-1801, when Great Britain and Ireland were separate Kingdoms - or even make England and Scotland separate Kingdoms as well like pre-1707.

@@Hibernica1641 It might surprise you, but Catholicism is actually growing faster than Anglicanism in Britain. Personally, I find it disheartening that Anglicanism is declining. Anglo-Catholicism, and even Roman Catholicism, has enjoyed popularity among the upper classes, which I partly attribute to their Norman French lineage. Britain has been home to great figures of the Catholic faith such as Tolkien, G.K. Chesterton, Evelyn Waugh, John Henry Newman, Ronald Knox, and many others. As for the Jacobite line of succession, do you have a preference? Are you more inclined towards the lineage currently represented by the Spanish aristocrats of the Fitz-James Stuart family, Duke of Berwick, or do you favor the Bavarian line as shown in the video? Also, considering the current Bavarian Jacobite is gay, would you support his nephew Joseph Wenzel of Liechtenstein as the heir if you lean towards the Bavarian line?

  • @Hibernica1641

@@Anglo-SaxonTeaDrinker After recently finding out that he was gay, I think I would be more inclined to support the FitzJames line now. Quite unfortunate.. although, as you said, maybe his nephew would do. I'm not sure. What do you think would be best?

When I was in Rome 2 months ago I went into the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere. On the cornice there was a sculpture of the royal arms of the King of England, France, Scotland and Ireland. From 1759, Henry Benedict Stuart was the Cardinal Priest of this Basilica. The whole city is full of Jacobite heritage. God bless the rightful Catholic monarchy.

It's honestly hard to say what would have happened if the Parliamentarians lost. I'd imagine the Catholic Confederacy would have worked out a treaty with King Charles to gain better rights for Catholics, which was already happening. They were called 'The Graces'. Charles I was never really harsh on Catholics, which makes sense seeing as his wife was one, much to the annoyance of Parliament. Not really too sure what would happen regarding Scotland and the Covenanters, but other than that it would have certainly worked out better for Ireland.

Any son of the Emerald Isle, an isle almost red with blood of the oppressed, which groaned under British rule for 800 years that in ANY way supports the benighted myth of the Lost Cause and its attempt to protect and perpetuate human slavery beyond its already too long history of 250 years is no true son of Kelts or the Roman Church, but just another tool of the Sasnach, like the hundreds of thousands of Catholic Irish that built the British Empire and oppressed others for pay and gin. The true Sons of Eire charged up the slopes at Fredericksburg and helped hold the center at Gettysburg wearing Federal blue and carrying the Harp and Star and Stripes together.
