Outdated. You want barbed drills. Drilling faster only works if your movement speed matches, which we found out... We cannot do. Might as well take the damage buff.

There this poeple who will always tell scout is the best class And then there poeple who played every class And THEN some go the good path and actually learn the game and know the best is driller (it's a path they will drill themself of course) The Bad path is to thinks platforms glich is OP when those poeple rarely play more hard that 2, generally the same who will use a shootgun like a auto and auto-cannon like a precision weapon. Maybe one day they will find they have 5 finger !

I'd prefer 3 instead of 2 on the 1-st tier. You can't walk fast enough with both mining speed upgrades, and, as such, the benefits of both equipped at the same time are miniscule.

for me these are common sense engineer mostly build stairs for scouts to land while resources are on the walls where drilling would be a waste or just too much effort and having empty driller is a bad idea both can use their abilities to make mini base for extraction mission driller drills perimeter engineer build a roof

as driller i find myself suffering when facing dreadnoughts. but i typically just drill around or when someones down i drill straight underneath them so i can't get fireballed while i make a revive

Only thing I want to add is that to this day barbed drills (+5 damage) is the (arguably) better option since with the mining power up you: 1) Actively mine faster that you can drill 2) in the time it takes for barbed drills to make 10m you make 12.6m using an extra liter Obviously you do you, you can also tap drill to make the most out of the mining upgrade, but personally having that giant melee weapon at my disposal gives me another reason to switch to the barbed side

Driller might not be the most optimal dps machine. But it is the best transversal machine. Aslong as there is stuff to drill, there is a path

It’s better to use barbed drills for damage The faster mining of Hardened tips is good, so good in fact your character’s movement speed can’t catch up to it, wasting most of the bonus. So unless you’re always with bonus speed, you should use Barbed, since you’ll still drill *about* as fast as you walk, but with better fuel consumption

Listening to this just made me smile because this is how i explain everything i do, and after doing my first deep dive earlier, i can say that my extensive tunnel systems helped a TON, ive always said that we drillers build better hives then the bugs.

Driller is such an op and easy to play character. Huge AOE dmg, creates shortcuts and paths, remove obstacles. Somehow it's the least played character, I suppose a lot of people still don't know how to read the 3D map.

Well gunner gets to have 4 "get out of jail" cards in form of shields, barely any weapon downtime, ziplines that are pretty good going down and insanely good at transportation of big objects like mule legs or eggs and greatest "overall dps" (as in sustainable, ammo efficient, high dps) aaaand, if you really want to get into the detail he is your best bet in shooting down red sugar. Everyone gets to be overpowered.

3:04 Even then, what I personally do in a case of tunnel - cocoons is place a Satchel charge, get the team into a better arena, and THEN start the fight by exploding the Satchel. Can be a bit weird with normal Dreadnaughts, but as long as they can dig it will always make the fight easier - if longer.

When the voice isnt louder than the music, try to balance audio a bit better so I dont have to blow my ears out with music to listen to you

Fun fact: driller can get rid of fields of poisonous mushrooms with his axe. Throw it slightly above them and you can pick your axe afterwards 👌
