In those days, the mid twentieth century songwriters wrote and singers recorded those songs. If you were a songwriter, you wanted as many artists to record your song as possible! The reason being if a songwriter put all his or hers eggs in one basket and that record flopped Your best hope was someone else would record it... maybe! Things changed in the sixties with the Beatles, arguably the first singer/ songwriter group! Everyone covered there songs! The ol' grey whistle test was when the modern singer songwriter was born in the seventies!

Wonderful sound, song, and video accompaniment. But just where is that icy river, the snowy town, the paved walkway along the river ? The latter appears to be Chicago perhaps. Thanks for the work to put this all together, lovely.

One can coequally find real consolation when it’s theLord summoning us to abide with Him. He has experienced every suffering we go through on earth : rejection,abandonment,obstructions, frustrations,judgments, bias, great physical and spiritual pain,being hated and not loved, betrayed,and laughted and humiliated while in agony on the cross.His final words to those who listen will be don’t worry about death and dying . “ I have abided you in life’s torments, I will be with you in your death and take you with me to my eternal trouble free place where many,many have Real Life without end.All you need to do is “ ABIDE WITH ME ALWAYS “.
