In DS2, I was able to runback most areas except Shrine. I'm amazed he thought it was so debilitating and difficult to play; I feel like DS2 is the easiest of the 3. I guess I'm just that good lmao.

I WAAAAAAAAAY prefer the multiplayer integration in rise compared to world. You turn it on, you turn it off. Plus you can explore and use the whole village together. If I want to play world solo I have to start a online session, disconnect my internet and then reconnect it, how about just having an offline mode in the main fucking menu -_- Being online adds like 2 extra menus to go through every time you post a quest and everytime you finish a quest you have to wait for it to connect to the server. World not having a offline mode option is my biggest gripe with the game. I mean, it has an offline mode, you just have to jump through a bunch of hoops to use it. Wilds better having a "start offline" option.

Unicorn Overlord’s story is obviously not amazing. Even so, I liked it well with for what it was. It helps that the rest of the game was so amazing.

if I remember correctly David Gasman voiced Arkail, and while he's probably best known for being the voice of Rayman (and Ed in Tonic Trouble, remember that one?) but honestly I prefer his work as Alberich in Ring: Legend of the Nibelungen, guy channeled all the spite he could muster into that character and Ring wouldn't be as memorable without it

Man I really loved Prince of Persia 2008. I think it didn't do too well because it was so different from the Sands of Time games which everyone loved. I played the SoT trilogy too before playing the 2008 game but I never really compared it with the old games. I thought it was dumb. Before playing the SoT trilogy I played the OG PoP 1 and 2 as a kid. It's so wildly different from the 3D games it's not even funny. So, the idea of the 2008 reboot being different from the old SoT trilogy was not a new concept for me. I mostly welcomed the differences in the reboot and enjoyed it for what it was. My favorite aspect was obviously the banter between the Prince and Elika and the beautiful world. The aesthetics reminds me of Frutiger Aero. I miss that era so much. That game was so unique and took such huge risks, not all of them paying off. It'd be insane to see a reboot like this of an established franchise nowadays. Sadly, it didn't work out and we'll probably never see a continuation of that story. It sucks because it feels like I'm only one of the few people who like this game as most people only talk about SoT trilogy (as they should since those games were great too). PoP 2008 was a gem and I wish it got a worthy sequel that was just as beautiful and unique.

Neros inclusion in 5 doesn't make sense to you because you're not a casual. Some people just can't handle Dante (some even struggle with Nero.)

Love the vid, the one thing I will decide to comment on is the way you interpreted the difference between the player character in Souls and Bloodborne, in souls you're a pitiful little man, no one believes you can do it, and at least in 3 specifically even npcs will be visibly surprises and gasp when you "tell" them you killed a big bad. Bloodborne tells you from the very beggining, you're a hunter, not only is it expected you go kill shit, it's your JOB, your title is HUNTER, your very name screams out at the nightmare "I'm coming for you", you reach Maria who's posted up in front of a dirty secret because she EXPECTS mfers to show up, an outer God is sitting and waiting to protect a cosmic baby fully knowing a British assassin the moon payed for with a blowup doll is coming for it with the entire city's knife bin in their pocket. I don't know, I'm sure it comes across heavy that I love this game

i feel the monster Morpher Mage class could've been more viable if morphing into a monster granted the player said monster's mobility. plus making maps designed to take advantaged of divers mobility.

ds3 has always been my personal favorite and is a comfort game for me. Its the most balanced and memorable game in my opinion, especially the bosses. Elden ring is great but just too long for my taste. I did finish it but itll be awhile before i get to shadow of the erdtree.

I have one complaint about the tiddy controversies of vannilaware games: they need to make more sexy half-naked men. And I don't mean ugly burly muscular barbarian half-naked men, there are plenty, no, I mean SEXY half-naked men for the heterosexual female gaze!!! Give us some body hair, some giggly pecs, muscular arms, sexy moans when he's hurt (just like they do with female characters, honestly it's pretty hilarious)... They have plenty of sexy men in unicorn overlord but all of them are fully covered with clothes, when the sexy ladies have all the bouncy giggly physics... What's up with that? Are they afraid of being gay for dudes?

On unicorn overlord’s difficulty, the only complaint I have is that they made such an interesting, in depth system of combat, but gave no fights where you’re rewarded for fully exploring that system. Like… they took gambits straight out of ffxii, give us a weak mode like ffxii had with no/limited leveling. My ffxii playthrough in that mode was the most fun I’d ever had with it Imagine playing where the leveling speed is slowed and the level cap was halved or something like that.
