  This was a decision that wasn't passed to the people of America, this was a decision between a couple of people in are government that took advantage of the ideal of how the people felt about the desaster of Pearl harbor. Having these nuclear weapons is not a defense, it's a damn curse

  luckily if a modern nuke went off, you'd have an instant death, the shockwave will tear you apart instantly, moving faster than sound if you unfortunately manage to survive, you will die to cancer, nobody will save you as everybody will be dead, nobody will survive within a 25 km radius if it's more than 1mt (modern nukes range from 1kt to 200mt)
