I have a disability, so I use text-to-voice and audiobooks regularly. People who say that’s not reading are perpetuating ableism 🤷🏾‍♀️

Actually I wouldn’t recommend IT right away, even for epic novels lovers. Maybe the stand, but not IT. It’s a book for people who read a few of his books and liked his style

I love audio books so much!! I’ve always been a super slow reader and very intimidated by long books. I get super sleepy while reading like I will literally read 2-3 pages and stop to sleep. But I love books so much and want to be a faster more dedicated reader and not pass out 😫

Oddly enough, when I buy used books in mint shape, I don't mind buying Stephen King books that look like they have been read, finding a great book/story is always worth it.

I love used books because they cost less & sometimes I can't afford to buy them full price/brand spanking new.

Hi Morgan, In your video you said that The Dead Zone might spoil the end of Cujo. After having read both books, I did not catch that. Can you give me a hint in which chapter of The Dead Zone I'll find the reference to Cujo?

I read Skeleton crew and Sun dog as my first stephen king books, just took something from him. I, then, read IT which i liked and now i am currently reading The Shining. I really like The Shining and the transition of Jack is very heartbreaking for me. I am going to read Misery next and continue the duology with Dr Sleep

I love used books because of the wear that happens when someone reads it. It's endearing to me to think about the time someone else spent with it and what it could have meant to someone else. First editions are fun but the real hunt is for First Edition FIRST Press ;)

the first 4 books of the Dark Tower are the greatest! the last 3 felt forced....but book 1, The Gunslinger, is as good as it gets (dont pay attention to the movie, it was garbage) and the Gunslinger is short so its a quick read, plus the Dark Tower is the center of all other King books, everything you read in all Kings other books trickle back to the Dark Tower, the fact you didnt even mention the Dark Tower series should tell everyone, despite all the background books, you know jack shit about King

I love to read paper-books but also don't mind reading on my e-reader. And a huge advantage of an e-reader is that books like The Stand and It won't intimidate you by its size.. 🤓

The best way to read The Stand is through a Kindle. Trust me, you will thank the Amazon X-Ray feature in Kindle because there are so many characters introduced in the first half and you might lose track of who does what.

I started with his short stories I read It was my first novel I’ve read of his so far and I am not going to lie I had to take a break because I read it in a week and it felt like getting months of information in a short amount of time so it felt like real memories of these characters. Also it was very terrifying I’m scarred with clown phobia and it definitely came from the book. I am currently reading The stand and Gunslinger pretty much alongside each other

The only book I wish I could read now is Chasing after Zorro by Britt Lomond and this is exactly the book which is next to impossible to find. I am also outside of US so that makes it impossible for me to "chase" it for real not only via the net.
