Hi! Check out our full video on our channel where we do a full review of the A9III!
OK, where is the camera? Are there demo videos? Cons and pros? Is it worth the price?
hey;) I know it's been a while since you posted the video but what that cage at 1:31 ?
Hi, its the Wooden Camera Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera cage!
@@Hotrodcameras thx. Tough to find a cheap one nowadays. Thx. Great video !!!
hello ! My name is Daniel Lima I'm from Brazil your videos are beautiful .. I bought a 5d mark II - And I'm looking for a cinema lens for it like the one you're using... help me, tell me a little about your system you used on it..
This is equipped with a Hot Rod Cameras PL mount adapter custom for the 5D mark II. We used DZO lenses.
This is my first video camera. Found it in a pawn shop for $1500. The store had it for close to three years. The original price was $2800. The manager told me nobody else was interested, and some thought it was simply too old. It took about two minutes for the manager to drop the price without my asking. I didn't know any better. It looked nice, with a nice bag of accessories. Everything was in very good condition, no dings, scratches, or dust, everything works. Preparing to use it to make my first film, based on my first published novel, and my first registered script. Now I'm writing another book. And I want more cameras! Could I become addicted to all this? Am I headed for trouble?
How is your film coming along? If you get in touch with us any time you're looking for gear, we'll do our best to help keep you out of trouble.
I would freakin LOVE to get my hands on the 5 lens RF set of primes. They look gorgeous.
Thanks for watching. The image quality is fantastic.
nice test. What camera?
RED V-Raptor (except the drone footage).
This looks gorgeous! Was this shot the new Nisi Athena Primes? What camera? Thanks!
Thanks! It was shot using Athena primes on a RED V-Raptor.
Best and most realistic review I’ve seen. Thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Purchse the GH6 Here: hotrodcameras.com/panasonic-lumix-gh6-mirrorless-camera-body-only/
Very well done video
Totally agree hey, I too am waiting for a GH6s
can u help how will this work for a sports stills camera too ?
It wIll work great. It will just depend on how you are planning to use it.
Nice Video :) I am an owner of GH5II. I found that GH6 has Gyro for Stabilization. How does it work? Does it need a software like Catalyst Browser or Davinc, or it uses the data within the camera for Stabilization?
hmmmm you seem to think that he GH6 has DUAL NATIVE ISO and it does not. That is a head scratch er for someone with so so much LUMIX experience. If I'm wrong I'd be very happy to be so. Please let me know. .
ISO = gain. It's really a matter of semantics. The GH6 doesn't advertise "dual native ISO" but that is the terminology we are all in the habit of using- and sure, we're guilty in this video of not spending an extra 2 minutes explaining the subtle differences in implementation. Panasonic specifically refers to what is the GH6 "dual native ISO" as "Dual Output Gain." At the end of the day this "DOG", is really only slightly different implementation of dual native, but again as ISO = gain, what's occurring is the same results. Most people don't seem to understand the term of DOG, so we had to make a choice for the video, spend the time explaining minor differences and use the correct terminology or call it the term that people understand and what should be close enough for 99.9% on KZread. Good on you for pointing it out. I wasn't sure anyone would.
What a great review!
Thanks for the feedback. We'll do better on the next video
Love the cat <3
Wow a really great review! Still, on the fence about upgrading from my G9, I was hoping the low light would be better!
Glad it was helpful!
Long time FF Canon shooter here. Congrats and thank you on the thorough evaluation and insightful opinions. So many boxes on the GH6 get ticked that I'm Jones-ing on the features and specs. As much as I love the small form factor, IBIS and lens IS, super high frame rates, a huge codec and resolution selection, I would have to give up ultra wide FOV, super sexy bokeh that I take for granted now. It's impractical hauling two systems in the field as having too much stuff can also be a huge ball and chain on actually shooting good footage. May have to try it out though. None of the camera shops I have near me have one physically in stock to get a feel of it.
A GH6s and a GH6s ii would be awesome additions to this camera for a b and c camera. Cmon Panasonic. We want an electronic Variable ND filter that will have little to no colour shifts. Make a version like the GH5s. We will all be buying all three versions for our current kit. Make sure all the colours match up natively please! Please please please! That has to be number one of the rules for multiple camera mixup shoots. Same colours. Please make them all gen lockable. Please please please!
Nice review, well done :)
Thanks for watching
What an amazing video!
Thank you so much!
Low light shooting is paramount... PLEASE GIVE US THE GH6S!!!!
Excellent video and analysis of the GH6.
Thanks a lot!
Great run through that echoes my sentiments of the camera and MFT as a whole! I love my GH6 rig and lenses but I added a Nikon Z9 to take me to places that my GH6 cannot get to!😎👍🏾🙏🏾
Totally agree!
Great review and footage! You see the 2.2 update coming next week for SSD recording?
It's a worthy update. I recommend
Nice review! Panasonic just released the new 2.2 firmware which supports external SSD recording.
Excellent well rounded review. Spot on for lower cost of lenses and smaller form factor. I feel like the GH6 is good enough for the common viewer off the street (non-filmmaker) that when they watch content shot on the GH6, viewers are focused on the content without the quality of the footage getting in the way of the story being told. Thus mission accomplished. Thank you for the excellent review. 😊👍
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Music too loud
Thanks for the feedback.
this comparison what I am looking for , thanks guys.
Thanks for watching! You're welcome!
very helpful. thanks
Thanks! We're glad to hear it!
i can buy the same handle of the fx3 for a7s3
The handle is held in place by two screwholes on the FX3. A7S3 does not have the same screwholes, so there would be nothing to hold it in place.
the A7sIII is NOT a camera for stills, its has only 12mp resolution, and tons of video codec. How come?
A low number of pixels enables Sony to use larger photosites on the sensor, which means each photosite can collect more light. This is how they are able to offer such incredible low-light performance. Their A7S models have always been designed with this in mind, and their A7R series prioritize resolution of low-light performance.
This by far is the best review of said camera(s). Thank you. I had no clue about the Sony app
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Do you know if there is a way to connect an external recorder for sound, such a s a zoom? I'd like to use it to record live bands but want great sound. You advice would be most appreciated
The fp and fpL are actually the smallest full frame cinema cameras.
Thanks for watching.
Hello thanks for test! You maybe have compare slr magic apo hyperprime and dzofilm vespid, how is better?)
Excellent video! I would just challenge the comment that the A7Siii is designed for photography, with only 12 megapixels I think it is marketed more to Videographers. Photography is a bonus.
I understand the sentiment. It's absolutely full of photography features, and there's definitely room for a low-light specialty stills camera. I'd imagine the engineers would say it's optimized for both.
the most precise, concise, to the point video ever. thanks. dzo all the way, best value.
Rebecca...😲😍🤗👩❤️👨🤰
So green.
Thanks for watching. Are you saying the colors look green to you? If so, Sony offers a lot of control over the image via settings in-camera.
Thx!
Thanks for watching!
Love the FE C 16-35mm which I use with my FX6 & FX9. The most expensive lens I've purchased, but the image looks superb.
It is very impressive. Thanks for watching.
Love this. Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching!
Would be interesting, if the red komodo got that slightly higher dynamic range of one stop (shot in Red Raw). And...could you see a difference in the highlight rolloff?
That would be interesting to see, but we didn't really set up lighting in a way to demonstrate the highlight rolloff or dynamic range, and we finished by applying Rec709 LUTS, meaning we weren't taking full advantage of the dynamic range. Thanks for watching.
great review guys! Happy that Ive bought my fx3 straight after they release it ❤️
Thanks! Are you enjoying your FX3?
Does the FX3 have similar capabilities from FX9 and FX6 by doing Cine EI Mode?
It's got similar capabilities overall, but each camera has a unique feature set. The work well with each other, but are not necessarily substitutes for each other. Thanks for watching.
Excellent breakdown!
Thanks for watching!
@@Hotrodcameras my pleasure :)
Great autofocus but the image looks too digital.
Luckily, Sony provides many, many controls in-camera to enable the user to shape the image parameters. There's a ton on flexibility, in that regard. Thanks for watching.
@@Hotrodcameras You should try some pro mist filters to remove excssive unnatural sharpness.
@@News_Today Thanks for the suggestion. We didn't really feel like using filtration would be an accurate way of presenting a first look at a camera and lens, but we often bring up filtration with customers. Most of the Sony cameras don't feature optical low pass filters, so the image can be pretty sharp without filtration.
Such an interesting test. I watched it several times with the names covered to pick my favourite. Turns out I liked the ones I already thought I didn't like - the Xeen was my favourite, followed by the DZO!
Thanks for watching! I remember a while back when Duclos did a blind test survey of lenses, and Xeen won a very high number of votes. It goes to show - the best way to evaluate the images a lens produces is by looking at them!
