Would like to hear you talk more about your product - Fortifier - saw palmetto. For people like me who cannot take or use anything chemical. I had taken spironolactone but developed rashes on my lower legs; topical minoxidil worked at the beginning, but the continuing use caused scalp burning and had even more hair lost, and oral minoxidil caused insomnia. Thank you very much.
What about redensyl ? Does it work topically?
Hi team - what is your view on also avoiding other topical forms of DHT blockers (Ketoconazole, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Azelaic Acid, Saw Palmetto) in female patients with a history of breast cancer? Kindest Dr Jonathan
I need a hair loss specialist in Tampa FL area, any recommendations? Three different dermatologists was a waste of my time. Thank you so much,
What LLLT for home use you can recommend, hairmax band?
First of all, congratulations for the presentation; this is by far the most comprehensive, well thought, research-backed information available! Also, the material you prepared are just flawless! If you happen to stumble upon my comment, I am trying to help my mom with her hair loss after a breast cancer (her treatment ended some 5 years ago) and would like to ask you about 2 medications you mentioned. Is spirolactone and bicatulamide/flutamide something worth considering? I wish you continued success and that many people keep finding help in your work!
Ugh refusing to prescribe medication to women because they are at child baring age is so backward. Im a young women and I take isotretinion and finasteride and it has been very successful. I source the medication myself as my doctor refused to prescribe it. I don’t want kids. If I do I will stop using the medication and get pregnant when it is safe
Do it reall help your hair growok
You may want to add a new type of hair loss to the presentation termed fibrosing alopecia in a pattern distribution (FAPD) which although a type of AGA it is also a form of scarring alopecia and hair regrowth is typically NOT possible
Part two. Did it grow back
Stay tuned! Part two is coming in a few months! Growing your hair back takes time, but you can typically start to see progress in about three - to six months.
Patch over night?
Get a blood test and make sure you don't have a thyroid issue or some other glandular issue
Good call out. We conduct blood work at Medi Tresse during a consultation!
Does Medicare help with any hair loss?
So she’s black mix race correct! 😵💫
Hair thinning/loss with no known cause has been more frequent for women since the pandemic. It's pretty disheartening already and even worse when no one has answers 😢
Many of our patients express similar frustrations. Before they arrived at Medi Tresse, most tried to seek help from their primary care doctors or dermatologists. Female hair loss is complex and usually a symptom of many contributing factors. We say that your treatment plan begins with a proper diagnosis. Determining the type of female hair loss you are experiencing is the critical first step toward a successful regrowth journey. Know that you are not alone in feeling so disheartened and that there are options for you. It is important to note that the uptick in hair loss during the pandemic was commonly brought on by the increase in stress many of us took on during this time. Hair loss brought on by stress is called Telogen Effluvium and most will naturally regain their hair after a year.
Part 2 please 🙏🏾
Yes, please!
Can you discuss long term low dose oral retinoid therapy and hair loss. Ways to improve or mitigate this when we need to take the oral retinoids for things like HS, PSO, acne, etc.
What are the best probiotic and prebiotic supplement brands?
Why do you say you hate to bring it up when Covid vaccine is likely a prominent problem with hair loss?
I don’t see minoxidil in your store.
In clinical trial where I traded out anastrozole for another adjuvant medication (a SERD). My hair is not falling out by the handfuls anymore!
Medi Tresse did not do anything for me! I was so hopeful! They basically took over $600.00 from me then I never heard from them again. I do not recommend!
Dr. I have been using topical Minoxidil and it has been causing me eye problems. Is this normal?
@alajandrajuarez6156 - Never heard of any eye problems from minoxidil. Go to your ophthalmologist.
@@meditresse . I did. I stopped using it and the irritation stoped. Now I am trying the pills instead.
18:11 When you say take protein and supplements can you say what supplements you recommend?
@irisb4028 Thank you for asking! We recommend our Healthy Body Bundle it is a complete source of the nutritional support your body needs to help promote healthy hair growth. You can learn more at meditresseathome.com
So glad I found this channel. Question. For hair thinning what you recommend better, the laser cap or PRP ?
That depends on if you are experiencing female hair loss or male hair loss. If you are experiencing female hair loss it will be dependent on your type of loss and your unique root causes. However, both types of treatment help many people gain control over their hair loss and they work great in tandem. Please always keep in mind that individual results will vary and you should always consult with your doctor.
@@meditresse . Thank you. I have done two PRP treatments and I started to se results. I am in the process of buying a low laser cap, but they are very expensive!
Thank you for sharing the valuable information.
Thanks
Thank you for your all complete explanations
THis is so helpful :-) Thank you so much!!!

I am a 50yo women. My hairloss started, or I noticed it, in October 2022 - clumps of hair were coming out and my overall hair when I was washing it seemed sooo thin. I had a failed PRK in 3/22 then I had covid on 7/30/22 and blood tests in February 2023 that showed ferritin at 14 and vitamin D at 24. So the dermatologist stated I needed iron IV and 50000 IU Vitamin D3. My levels were all fine by May 2023. My hair stopped shedding by February, but my overall hair is so much less dense - my ponytail is less than 1/3 than what it was and my overall hair is continuing to thin all over. I do not notice bald spots or really a substantial spreading of the part -it is totally a diffused loss. I notice tons of new hairs but the front of my hair under direct light is very thin pretty much see through. So it has been 14 months since I noticed the shedding and I honestly do not feel like my hair thickness has remotely returned, my ponytail is super small and over all my hair is sooo much thinner. Could this really be telogen effluvium or is it more likely androgenic alopecia?
Any recommendations for hair thinning in the Orlando area ? I just got my first plasma treatment, it was painful though!
Great information! Thank you for sharing~~~~
Thank you so much. Your discussion on the research provided so much information for me as well as hope. I believe I have CCC alopecia but that's my first problem, I couldn't get the dermatologist to talk with me further about the other things mentioned as a possibility in the lab report. No one has ever used magnifying instruments to look at my scalp. I have seen many dermatologists and none of them ever took blood to analyze that to rule out other illnesses. I went again to a dermatologist this past Monday who told me there was no help and that I should have sought help earlier even though I saw her 2 years ago and the fact of the matter is I did seek help many many years ago and was told to take biotin 1,000 mg and was never asked to return for a follow-up appointment. No one ever took pictures of my scalp and when I went in last week I mentioned that and I said I don't know how the doctor will know whether or not anything has improved because I'm sure she sees many patients and would not recall what my scalp look like so the nurse must have told the doctor what I said and she took pictures this time right after telling me there was nothing that could be done so what's the point. I specifically wanted to ask about the I ReSound laser cap wondering if I should try that and based on what you said, I think I might. It certainly wouldn't hurt. Further I have never had steroid shots, I have never been prescribed an oral medication for this, but this last doctor did ask me to use the Derma smoothe FS oil on my scalp again with no follow-up appointment in mind. Total waste of my time if she truly thought it wasn't going to work .
@sable7114 We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. Most women who come to us have had a similar experience and are emotionally exhausted and discouraged by the time they come in for their consultation. Our founder opened Medi Trese because she was extremely frustrated with her options when experiencing her own loss. Please visit our site meditresse.com to see if there is a practice near you. We would love to see you in person if possible.
@@meditresse thank you so much for your kind response and I will look up your site to see if there's a location near me. I reread my comment and I don't know how my phone heard ReSound when I was referencing the iRestore laser and red light cap. I have it now so we will see but I'll check out your site as well. Thanks again
How can I buy the prebiotic? Also I’ve heard melatonin used topically works. What is your opinion?
I have a cat is oral minoxidil dangerous to would it be exctrected by my skin??I ask in case oral minox is offered to me..topical I will never bring into my home..

Is it ok for breastfeeding mothers to take these medications
No, we would not recommend these medications for those that are breastfeeding.

What will help with African American with FPHL
I am losing my eyebrows and eyelashes from Lichen Planopilaris. What about microblading?I do have Roceasa so would that be bad for my skin?
@carmenwilley8858 - Microblading is an excellent solution and often works well. It is typically okay with rosacea, but you should check with your dermatologist.
In the other video you said that women who have had breast cancer should NOT use Finasteride?
Thank you for answering this. I have been using Finasteride and will now quit.
Asbolutely do not use finasteride with a history of breast cancer.
PRP?
Are you asking what that is? It's an acronym for platelet rich plasma I believe. Your blood will be taken and spun down so that what is needed can be extracted from it and then injected in your scalp to treat your hair loss.
Thank you for such good information ☺️
Interested to look into the research you mentioned at the end about hair thinning and predicting menopause
Oral minoxidil is disgusting. Made me shed even worse for 3 months, never helped at all. Stopped it completely. Topical still works better.
Download the slides please it makes the videos more beneficial
What about if you had a total hysterectomy and are 75
There are many reasons you could be experiencing hair loss. Age, nutritional deficiencies, genetics, hormones is just one possible contributing factor. If you are concerned about changes to your hair we strongly suggest you consult with your doctor.
Which brand of low level laser therapy do you recommend? Is there any particular characteristic in the device that we should look for?
Hi! great video! I just want to ask which of the oral options (minoxidil, finasteride, dutateride or spinorolactone) is the least probable to cause side effects specially WEIGHT GAIN and MOOD RELATED ISSUES (as I am on antidepressants). Obviously I'll check with my doctor, but it would be nice to know it from you :) Thanks again!
Been using Dutasteride for years and had zero side effects. Whereas Minoxidil gives me heart palpitations and makes me terribly bloated and spironolactone messed up my cycle and make my whole body horribly dry.
Hi! Wondering what kind of hair loss do you have? I have AGA but derm never mentioned dut as an option for me. Only minoxidil and spiro. Thank you.
@@charmemez I have stress related alopecia and also PCOS
