Best trucks ever. Mine developed the head gasket oil leak. I used the updated felpro head gasket to repair it, and used an aluminum intake from a 99 expedition with the improved design felpro gaskets as well. Also I torque my spark plugs to spec haha. But it’s pretty easy to avoid those issues and bullet proof these engines, although most don’t need it they go 500k easy with good maintenance. These are great trucks and everyone who’s owned one can agree.

They didn't make disc brakes standard on all models in this series... most of them had rear disc, but the standard rear brake was still a drum rear on certain trim levels.

These pickups were reliable if properly maintained and really easy to work on yourself. I'm in the process of replacing the upper/lower control arms bushings, ball joints, stabilizer links, wheel bearings, seals, races, brakes, and wheel cylinders under my 1989 Chevy Cheyenne, 3500. It has the SB 350 TBI engine and a standard 4 speed granny transmission. No oil leaks or burning and it runs well. It's a pickup that's easy to work on compared to today's vehicles. It's my daily driver as well. The parts are very inexpensive, readily available, and for me it's an easy DIY project as I grew up around these vehicles. The clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing were replaced in 2023 as were the clutch slave cylinder and hydraulic line, so when I'm done this pickup should make it a couple more decades at least.. I'm in my 60's so it may be my last pickup and I'm the third owner.

I currently own 3 GM vehicles from this generation: A 2005 Suburban 2500HD (8.1), a 2002 Silverado 1500, and - the crown jewel - a 2004 Hummer H2 Luxury package. I bought the Suburban with 110k miles (it currently has 210k), the Silverado with 137k (it currently has 179k), and the Hummer with 53k (it currently has 79k). I daily drive all three, and have done many long-distance road trips and family outings in both the Suburban and the Hummer. I occasionally tow with all three (nothing very heavy), and have done a fair amount of light off-roading with the Suburban and the Hummer. I used to have a 2003 Suburban 1500. I gave it to my daughter with 275k miles on it. It currently has 320k miles, and she is still driving it. These four vehicles have proven to be the toughest, and most reliable vehicles I have ever owned by FAR, in my total 35-ish years of vehicle ownership. In the case of the Suburban's specifically, also the most versatile and useful. GM really knocked it out of the park in the early 2000's.

Do we need to consider the rating of our old bulb and match it to the new? And is there any other to consider as we modify or we add something to the electrical system of the vehicle that affect affect the function of electrical system of the car? I have Ford everest 2018 trend model what can you suggest that best fit to it. Hope you can still answer my question. Thank you very much.

I love the look of the original version the new one looks like the 9/11 which is boring and it looks like a typical sports car I wouldn't do a double take if I seen it come down the street but the ones before they changed the body, that's something to look at. It stands out from the crowd.

I purchased my panamera in 2012 and I only have 37,000 mi on it today I had a scare because I only drive it in the summer time and it was sitting for a long time and it wouldn't start and it had a clicking sound but I became a Porsche mechanic and got on KZread and learned how to remove the battery myself and take it to get checked out that saved me over $1,500 going to the dealer and I didn't need a new battery it just needed to be charged. So I have lucked out so far on having any major issues with this vehicle but I also have a 2019 Cayenne that I special ordered so far nothing's wrong with that I only have $18,000 mi so I'm hoping not to have to many issues from either. I know they say don't buy a car if you can't afford to upkeep. But these dealers be trying to price gouge you.

I have a 2015 Nissan king cab with the 4-cy engine that I bought used. I added a color coordinated cap, visors, side steps, fake leather seat covers, backup camera and Weather Tech floor mats. It has roll up windows. It has 60,000 plus miles and gets an oil change and tire rotation at 5,000 intervals. Other than routine maintenance and annual inspection it has not needed any visits to the dealer or my favorite mechanic. It is my daily driver that I use every day to travel between two warehouses. It is the second Frontiers that I have owned. I sold the first one before it had 200,000 miles on it and was my wife's vehicle and she is still mad a me for getting rid of it. I don't have a problem with the hard plastic interior because it is durable and easy to clean.

2012 Frontier, with 210,000 miles at present. A camshaft angle sensor failed, ~$300 to have it changed @ 170,000 miles. Steering wheel clock spring failed @ ~ 150,000 miles managed to change myself. Both heater hose plastic connection at firewall went @ 150,000 miles. I changed spark plugs and three of the coil packs under the intake manifold as preventative maintenance at 200,000 miles. I was absolutely amazed how good those sparkplugs looked at 200,000 miles. What next? Rear diff breather replacement?

I bought an 02 supercab with the eight foot bed for work. The rear ujoints were absolutely shot to crap, and I had a coil die. Other than that, it's been a very capable truck for work, and wood harvest. Replaced my 96 long bed ranger after Bambi took a run at it. I like the truck.

Note 2011 also introduced the 3.7 n/a v6. It was a bored out 3.5 Ecoboost block. People have bolted Ecoboost components to make more power and torque than the 3.5 v6. Note, 2009-2011 had two 4.6 v8 options. There was a 2v 4.6 with 4 speed automatic, and a 3v 4.6 with 6 speed automatic. You can tell the difference by looking at the instruction cluster gear selector. The four speeds with have "P N R D 1 2", the six speeds will have "P R N D 1 2 3". The 2v 4.6 is known to be almost bullet proof, it wad the exact same powertrain as the crown vic. The 3v did have a couple issues with spark plugs and oil pumps, but not as bad as some of the 5.4 v8s. 2009-2011 were the only two years with a 3v 4.6 and the first time the F150 did not offer a 6 cylinder. 2011-2014 is also the only years where the F150 and the Super Duty shared a common engine, the 6.2 "boss" v8. There were two variants of the 6.2. The "standard" 6.2 v8 was optional with the Lariat and Limited trims with 411hp 434 tq with a max tow rating of 12k. The heavybuty package were badged "f250" with an f150 body, had a 1,800lbs payload, and had a 7 lug wheel. There was a High Output supercharged 6.2 v8 with 575 hp only offered in the Raptor. 2010 is the ONLY year the Raptor had the 3v 5.4 v8 with 320hp 390 tq.
