This happens all the time on the river Severn it is called the severn bore and the wave can reach heights up to 10 feet on very big tides this is similar to a tidal bore but without the visible wave just the rush of the incoming tide still potentially dangerous though as many surfers have found out whilst surfing the Severn bore never underestimate the power of water.

Everyone on earth needs to know WHEN SHORES AND RIVERS SUDDENLY SUCK BACK AWAY FROM SHORE ITS TO BUILD A MASSIVE TSUNAMI COMING BACK MANY TIMES STRONGER! Flash floods act the same way! The Greenland disaster was so sad to see these coastal beach people standing filming on the beach as their boys got dragged out to dry shores and then a massive tsunami that claimed many lives.
