How long did you work that spring nut to get it loose? I’m doing this right now on my truck and I heated it and pulled on it and I still don’t have it broke loose.

I did my 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 today. 16 plugs and it wore me out. I wasn’t going to pay the shop $1,500 to replace coils and plugs. So I did it myself. Truck runs like a champ.

WARNING!!! ⛔⛔⛔ For those of you who want to change the tranny fluid and filters on your Ram, DON'T TOUCH THE SEAL FOR THE MAIN FILTER! They say you don't have to change that seal, so don't. I put a very tiny chip where the seal goes trying to get it out, swapped in a new one, and destroyed my entire transmission when the filter popped out and sucked air into the hoses or whatever they are. That seal and everything around it has to be absolutely flawless and air tight. Believe me, I was very careful and thought the new seal looked fine. But it's a bitch to replace and aluminum is very soft. $6,200 for a rebuilt transmission. If you're a really good mechanic with tons of experience, go for it. But if you have to watch a video on how to do this, don't even try. Leave the seal alone

08-20-23 Castrol makes a full synthetic transmission fluid that works in practically all transmissions. Every auto supply company appears to be discontinuing that fluid in particular. Amazon carries it but I wonder for how much longer. Everything I like and buy seems to be discontinued and that includes grocery items too.

Sound like you know what you're well I have a 2013 ram 1500 SLT 5.7 it's clicking but won't start the dealership is telling me it is the motor but when I was driving it the transmission did not want to shift after a couple of minutes driving then I pulled over and put it back in park then put it back in drive and I pulled off it started shifting out then it stopped shifting again then it turned off I had to Coast to the side of the road so I wouldn't be in traffic or in danger of getting hit but the four-wheel drive light came on said that it was low and it never did that before it didn't stop messing up until after I tuck it to the dealership to get the recalls taken care of now what should I do I am at a standstill😢

You skipped over showing the installation of the pan which would be helpful to someone looking for guidance. I know that the first time that I removed the transmission oil pan, I watched several different videos because I had a hell of a time getting it to seal correctly. Also, I didn't hear you mention once how dangerous it is to use a metal scraping device when cleaning the mating surface. Some newbie will do the same thing and end up causing damage to that surface because they didn't know any better. Sorry to rag on you but your channel is called 'colesFixItRight' and I wouldn't suggest anyone watch this video if they were looking for some guidance on this kind of project. Did you even bother to change the filter? Clean the magnet? What's with spraying brake cleaner(or whatever you were using) so liberally on the underside of the transmission? You even sprayed into the filter that you reinstalled. Your oil is going to run through that. Keep your work space clean. Transmission fluid all over the floor? Horrible video. ANYONE THAT CLICKED ON THIS VIDEO FOR GUIDANCE, FIND ANOTHER VIDEO. THIS ONE IS BAD. Gasket maker AND a gasket?

On 1500s the fronts and rears use different fluids. One is 75-90 the other is 75-140. I also put some Lucas stabilizer in there.

You should torque those bolts. Also you supposed to check your piston booths make sure there in good condition. There is alot of details your not informing people about.

Your should spray both sides of the rotor with break cleanor. Not just one side.

Also careful when removing trans filter fluid will gush out fast .I purchased a new trans pan from dorman it has a drain plug . Makes changes a lot easier. Hope's this helps.
