    I liked your instructions - easy to follow - have a question - what do you mean by saying" double wrap"?

  • @MaCREmebyCre
    @MaCREmebyCre5 сағат бұрын

    Thank you so much! I mean when I wrap with the needle around the 2 rows, compared to the single wrap that goes around just the filler cord in between the double wraps. Hope that makes sense!

    😂 the knots aren’t going to tie themselves! They are switch knots. Maybe you can find another channel that shows it more clearly. Hope that helps!

    How thick is the rope you use? Is there anything I should look for when buying? I'm in New Zealand so won't have the same sources. Thanks

  • @MaCREmebyCre
    @MaCREmebyCre11 күн бұрын

    Mine is 3/8 inch, but you can use anything. I’ve used raffia, clothesline and even plastic bags to coil around. With thinner yarn like the ones I’m using in the video, a more sturdy filler cord would probably work best. Especially with the base with this design. It’s not as sturdy as the regular way I make them. So if you can’t find filler cord, you can get bungee cord or thick rope. Hope that helps 😊

    @MaCREmebyCre I have wanted to learn how to crochet for YEARS. Do you recommend starting with something like this first? Seems the smaller the yarn the harder it is for me to find my stitches. Maybe bigger is better in this case????

  • @MaCREmebyCre
    @MaCREmebyCre22 күн бұрын

    @@tayaanthony2620 I’m posting a tutorial tomorrow for this, but with 5mm. That would be great for a beginner. Small yarn is very hard to crochet with. Once you’re comfortable with 5mm, I’d say go for the 9mm. It’s amazing! We have free live crochet workshops you can join! Then we can help you step by step!

    Looks great! You could eliminate the outer hoop piece with the hardware so you don't have to work around it. I'm a weaver, so you don't really need the outer hoop piece. Love this idea of coiling around them!

    Again I love your tutorials. I would like to make a small hamper. Is this possible. Does the clamp hold it together if not finished in one sitting😊

  • @MaCREmebyCre
    @MaCREmebyCre24 күн бұрын

    Thank you so much 😊 it’s definitely possible! Just make the base as big as you want the hamper to be and keep going up on the sides until your desired height! The whole thing will stay together even without the clamp. I’d just stop it when the cord is shorter and then just continue when you’re ready. 💕
