Tim Box - Mind Coach

The KZread channel of Tim Box: Mind Coach, Remedial Hypnotist and Creator of The CONTROL system.

This channel is all about how the mind works (and how we change the way we think).
I make a lot of videos about how to understand and get control of anxiety.
Most of the time I upload new videos every week and do a live Anxiety Q&A for subscribers most Fridays at 6pm UK time.

I also have a Member's Area where I upload three new anxiety relief videos every week and go live most Mondays.
Membership also gives you access to the full CONTROL system video course that teaches you my simple method to put you back in control of the way you think, feel and behave.
Click the 'JOIN' button on the home page to get instant access.

Thanks for watching!

Thank you for explaining this. Knowing what it is reduces the fear of this when it happens. Now I can say "Oh its anxiety" and I can just accept what it is without the fear that something is wrong. And I can focus on slowing my breathing down.

Glad this helped Colleen. Regarding the breathing, that will slow down whether you focus on it or not. Another good thing to remember. :)

Amazing. Finally someone who emphasises that anxiety and is a normal reaction of the body to stressful/negative thoughts or situations and that we can change it by addressing the thoughts or situation in question and not only the stress response itself

Diane, You're absolutely right. This video is more about how anxiety CAN create these sensations and how it's a natural response rather than a malfunction when it does.

Thank you for explaining it! ❤ It has been the most unpleasant sensation that I've lived, most of the time at night! I help myself with somatic exercises and release tension before go to bed! I find them very helpful. Your videos have been a relief to me. Understanding anxiety in a different way! with optimism. I appreciate it! Blessings for you and your team. I want to buy your book but I am not sure if is this possible to deliver to Colombia? Or Can I buy it to read online? Thank you.

Katharine, I'm so glad the videos have been of value. You can order the book from Amazon, so I think you can get this sent to Colombia. If not it's also available as an audio book. www.amazon.co.uk/Clear-Your-Head-enjoying-without/dp/1999764137

The feeling I have is deep in my gut. As if I’m feeling real nervous, I have to unclinch my teeth often I try deep breathing techniques that doesn’t work. I often don’t realize when it’s gone because it stays for days to weeks at a time. I have medication I take every day sometimes it does nothing. The only time I get relief is when I’m asleep, but as soon as I awake, it’s like it greets me and ready to tag along for the day. The commercial where the lady holds up the smiley face in front of her own is how I feel when I have to go out in public. At times I really just want to shut down from everything and just sleep to not deal with this feeling it gets really exhausting.

Could that morning anxiety is also caused by the opposite…..not having a job or anything meaningful to fill the day? Add to that chronic pain and it seems your unconscious is causing anxiety because it knows its’s the beginning of another long painful meaningless day. How do you avoid that wake up cortisol whammy that takes your pulse way up the second your eyes open?

Anxiety controls my life and keeps me back from living life since a kid. 41 years old now. Alchohol helps, but can’t drink while going to work. I get anxiety and panic attacks mostly around a group of people

I struggled with strong somatic anxiety for 9-10 months. I was going the path of acceptance. I was doing great but started experiencing „chronic“ stress symptoms by now. Like a tinitus (never had it), vision stuff and fatigue symptoms over all. Now it was basically all about the resistance part since I was just lying to myself that I can accept them and I will let them be there. But this was all just lying to get them all away. But somehow this video made me break through and realize that it really is about reframing those symptoms that you do fear in the end.

I'm 55 and had chronic anxiety all my life, at times i would almost freeze on the spot, as a teen i would be walking and suddenly the anxiety would strike and my legs would seize up and walking would become almost impossible. I think for me it came into my life when i was a kid and i would hear my father running up the stairs to beat me when he got home from work, my mother would've told him i'd been naughty and that was that, he would run up the stairs and bust open the door, his face would be like he wanted to kill me and i thought thats what he was going to do one day i was terrified. I was anxious at home whenver he was around, so then i would be anxious outside and at school and at work etc... i've never known how to control it.
