Welcome to GeoFS Flights Channel! Here, I regularly post videos of my endeavors in GeoFS, a free browser flight simulator. Using the AP++/FMC extensions for GeoFS, I fly all kinds of routes ranging from short scenic flights to long hauls. I mainly feature cinematic flight videos, though I may occasionally post a distinct type of video, such as time lapses or city tours. I try to upload once a month, but no promises ;). if we want heading for ifr beside our waypoints how can we get heading of any where
@@shresthaanush On the navigation panel, you can right-click on any point on the map to create a FIX for that specific location. Once you’ve created that FIX, you can click on the FIX again to add it to your flight plan panel, and by selecting it, the aircraft will automatically head towards that point, and the heading will also be listed in the flight plan panel as well. GeoFS Events has an excellent video on this; you can check that out for any additional help.

Is the HD subscription worth it? haven't checked the plans but i ask that so i can turn GeoFS into my main sim because im highly interested on it
I would say that’s dependent on how often you play GeoFS. If you’re playing regularly like multiple times per week, then it’s definitely worth it. It’s an annual subscription so you’ll get the extra scenery for a whole year.

how to get heading of each path
On the FMC, the TRK column represents the heading required to reach each waypoint.
bro is there a way to change time scale..( to make the time go faster). i am in an a359 rn flying from CDG to DXB and man its so slow..exactly like real life
@@wesley-l8n unfortunately no. GeoFS is a one-to-one scale of the real world. So a 10 hour flight in real life would also be around 10 hours in game.

Well done but I rather use flightplan database because it generates.
I prefer SimBrief over FPDB because it’s 1) more realistic and 2) more reliable. FPDB crashes a lot of the time, and also the generated flight routes aren’t the most realistic either.

Hey! Loved the tutorial man. Just a quick question. If I don't add the VOR in my route on skyvector, will it make a difference?
Not sure I fully understand the question. The purpose of SkyVector is to construct routes to follow real-life airways. This includes waypoints and VORs alike. If you don’t add any waypoints or VORs, your flight will just be a direct path to the destination, which is valid, but not necessarily realistic, and it also prevents you from taking routes that may maximize scenery.

can you add links to premade short routes for easy use?
I unfortunately don't have a database of premade short routes. All of my routes that are publicly available can be found in the description of each of the videos. However, there is a collection of FMC routes that you can find in the old GPC website.

Cool video, but why not go in a straight line to Dubai? I usually do that with transatlantic flights.
That's because the Earth is a globe. So although the flight path I took may not appears as the direct/straight path to Dubai on a 2D map, when visualized on a 3D map, we are able to see that going towards the North is actually the most direct route.

I’ve mentioned it in the description, and in like 4 other comments, but there was a lot of information to fit into a short time frame, so I had to make the captioning a little fast. You can pause as necessary to read through.

Yeah I wish I could change that, but iMovie really doesn’t have many options when it comes to captioning. And any external captioning tool would’ve taken a long time to make work.
Great video! Editing was well done you made the video look really nice :) The subtitles did fly through a little fast but maybe a higher frame rate wouldve fixed that since it just looked like motion blur
I’m pretty sure the video exported in 30 or 60 FPS. iMovie doesn’t allow you to select the frame rate for 4K exports. Either way, it’s a lot of information in a short time frame, so it had to move fast. But you can pause as necessary, and read through everything.

Yeah I mentioned it in the description. This video was meant to be a short film, so I had to fit quite a bit of information into a very short timeframe. However, you can pause the video as needed; the frame rate should be high enough.
Question: why didn’t you use the official 777-300ER in the game
For one, the aircraft of MH370 was a 777-200ER, so I felt that the freighter 777 was closer to that. Secondly, I’m not a huge fan of the handling of the default 777, I prefer the LRX one more for now.

today i just play GeoFs , when i fly to Miami To Sint Maarten , when i was fly to dominican rep , i found a ghost plane thats fly over me and its disappear
Usually when aircrafts disappear, its because of a collision. Since collisions don't result in actual crashes in GeoFS, the aircrafts simply just vanish momentarily.

Not sure I understand the question. I parked there before starting the video if that's what you mean.

Oh my, I didn’t even realize that 😂 The story behind this video is that the 777 had just been released and I just searched through all the flights on which American Airlines operates their 777, and just went with this route. But what a coincidence!

Ummm, on my device, my maps can't import the kml file, it says error occurred, what should I do?
I noticed this issue as well. It appears to be a problem with the Google Chrome browser. Try doing this on another browser like Firefox or Safari, and it works fine.
