you'll knock that giraffe out with that lead pipe
I’m choosing between the Nick names of T-Rex Killer or Gum pole🤣
very nice
Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼
looks like a superb Bow, what is the setup
It’s a Elite Ethos CBE Trek Pro 3 Pin Hamskea Hybrid Hunter Pro Quattro Stabs - Vilago 💪🏼💪🏼
nice if they made it tough like a spot hog. considering buy a new sight for my monster6 just iff it will be as tough as my other bow setup.
I must say, I only walk and stalk. 50km + per hunt, crawling on all fours, dragging and scraping and I have add no issues for 1.5 years 🙏🏼💪🏼
Do it!! I want to see a hunt
We started filming this week🔥
I have harvested a few giraffes 🦒 with a bow, never used that heavy of an arrow 🏹
100%, same on my side. I usually run around 800grains for giraffe.💪🏼
Im shooting a OG PSE Xpedite at 84lbs at 26.25 inch draw length and am getting about the same speeds as you up to the 700g mark. Haven't made a heavier arrow yet but you can bet after watching this i will!! Subscribing was an easy decision 👍
Awesome 🔥🔥 Ah man thank you so much for the kinds words and support 💪🏼🙏🏼
Geez I got 143 fps on my 2,658 grain arrow. But DL was at 31
Yea I’m picking up it’s not completely wow🙄👎🏼
What was the DL at? I got 296 with a 628 grain arrow but DL was maxed out at 31
My DL is 27.5 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@outdoorswithtravisI was wondering the draw length too😂 is shoot a 456gr arrow with my 80# omen at 29”. Shot at 320fps on one chronograph and 313 with another chronograph. Shot my buddys arrow @357fps/386gr arrow😂
Yes do it now
We start filming today 🎉🔥
I wanna see the trajectory to 40 yards on that thing
We start filming today 🎉🔥
Too bad the PSE omen isn't as fast as they say it is. Athens archery made one of the fastest bows until bowtech. Crushed them with lawsuits for just making good bows. Cool video mate
Bro, there’s no way Athens made a faster bow than pse’s omen. That Thang zipped a 628 grainer 296 fps
Bowtech didn't "crush" Athens Archery, the wound was self inflicted. Everyone knew they were going to get sued for patent infringement when that system came out. If your going to take the risk, then you better have the capital to defend yourself in court. Bad business decision on AA's end.
Thanks for the support 🙏🏼
Yes do it!
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
Nice setup
Thanks so much, absolutely loving it🙏🏼💪🏼
Is it just me ore is the bow quieter with the heavy arrows.
1000% The heavier the arrow the quieter the bow gets🙏🏼
Would call that a "War" not a "Hunting" arrow, mate. What are you going to hunt? Tanks? 😂
Anti-Aircraft Arrow from Easton 🤣 We start filming tomorrow, building a shootable version🔥🎉
Yes do it!!
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
@@outdoorswithtravis awesome!!
Great shot ..... I bought one last October and love it , so confident with it .
100% it’s all about that confidence 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Now show us how it flies. Maximum "pactical" range? Tune? Broadhead flight?
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
Do IT mate!!!!!
Thanks brother, bows setup and we just waiting for the opportunity 💪🏼
Full send that spear 😂💪🤘🇺🇸
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
monster 6 shoots 500gr at 302fps
Plenty of faster bows out there💪🏼
Night shooting just hits different
With the lighted nocks it absolutely does 🤣🤣
Monty Browning hunted a rhino with a 1500 grain arrow he shot with a 90lbs Howard Hill longbow.
Do it!
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
Excellent video - do you find the pin brightness to be sufficient?
It took a day to get used to it the .10 but I love it now 💪🏼 Makes a massive difference on those long distance shots
Being it's only 94.57ft lbs which is still alot. But it's 1.3 fot momwhoch is insane
@@williambowfishing yea we going to have to do a complete rebuild to make it shootable
@@outdoorswithtravis what are ya going to change?
@williambowfishing have to cut it down, cause it’s far to long. I found another micro diameter arrow that fits down the shaft perfectly, it should make up for what we need to cut off the front. If we can’t get it to fly, our mission is off. Not making an animal the joke of an experiment, we going to play hard with this before we go to the bush.
@@outdoorswithtravis oh ic. Check out the Bishop Goat arrows. There like 600+ grains. It's what Lusk archery Uses for his broadhead destruction test.
Thanks brother, I appreciate that 💪🏼💪🏼
Just clicked on this like, yeah it'll shoot. I want to see it. Lol
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
You should check out the Ashby bow hunting foundations arrow speed calculator. It lines up right there with the speeds you were getting for a PSE omen with a 27.5” draw length and a 2050 gr arrow. If you’re chasing a specific speed, momentum, or K.E. For an arrow build that tool will get you very close with minimal tinkering
Amazing thanks brother, we actually use something similar in the shop already.💪🏼💪🏼 Super important data points to help make decisions 💪🏼
My Hoyt Stratos on 60lb shot the 1000gr arrow faster 👀
A lot of bows are faster at the moment.💪🏼
I doubt it’s faster. The only thing I could see being faster is APAs DG. Which I just tested! Go check out the vid!
I couldn’t because the animals wouldn’t let me
🤣
Do it!
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
You could have easily used Firenock aero inserts on both ends of your arrow which are actually designed to be inserted in epoxied inside the front and or back of an arrow not necessarily for the purpose of weight but for stability, but it would’ve worked for adding weight. Which would have helped you add more weight to the back of the arrow and not so much to the front. Especially if you used his lighted knock components they also would’ve helped add weight to the back of the arrow.
Do it lol😂
We start filming tomorrow 🔥🎉
Where exactly are you located?
Hi Peter, We are on Edgar Street in Pretoria, South Africa.
@@outdoorswithtravis Thank you! Can you obtain a Mathews Lift 29.5 bow?
Is there a reason you run your arrows long besides weight? I usually cut mine as short as I can. Could shave some grains with getting rid of that extra inch and a half you have up front.
I test a lot of different broadheads and just try to keep them clear from my hands 🙏🏼💪🏼 But I like heavish arrows so I don’t mind the weight but purely to be able to flexible with what ever I put on the front.💪🏼
I wanna see this experiment with a 30" draw length😮
I was flipping meant to do it and I forgot 🤣 I’ll do a short for you sometime this week 💪🏼
@@outdoorswithtravis I had an 80lb omen with the E2 cams at 31" and shot 385gr field arrows at 351fps
arrow? Nah buddy thats 2k grain javelin ‼️
We said the same thing, if we do hunt with it, we are going to have to do a compete rebuild to the right length and probably stick another arrow down the shaft to get the weight up 💪🏼
@@outdoorswithtravis I will be here for it‼️
Ranch fairy build
Maybe even to light for Ranch Fairy 🤣
Get the fairy please
Thats insane. I would like to see the difference in Penetration. You know the arrows you shot. I'm very curious on that 2000 grain arrow. How much penetration it has?
I think we need to get some tests going and see what happens 💪🏼
lol, my old longbow is faster! Take it home and zero it at 20 yards then do 30 & 40 to see the crazy trajectory. If there is any trajectory?
That’s exactly what I’m busy with 🤣
You guys should have used the S2 cams instead of the E2 cams at that draw length. Still a cool video tho.
Travis you are a great instructor.
Thank you so much Bud, for your time and kind words 💪🏼🙏🏼
I bought one last year and the first time out dropped a deer from 20 yards and she dropped within 10 ft. Then got my first buck a week later, awesome bow .... easy to use and very confident with the scope dead on .
So happy to hear man 🔥🎉
I was lucky enough to be given a Bowtech Carbon knight a couple months ago, it’s a 10 year old now but dammit does it shoot nice, busy planning my first hunt💪🏻
Incredible 🎉 let me know how it goes and good luck man 🎉
I did the same testing to get my first bow this year. I found the same as you other then a little hand shock on the ds. The tech adjusted the elite to 80 percent let off and had me pull it and my word it was night and day. Valley is gone and smoothed out. I left with the elite ethos when I went in thinking of getting a Hoyt
100% I’m currently sitting in the bush eating breakfast with the Ethos in hand. I’m obsessed with this bow🤣
