Just replaced these and knocking worse 🤔
Oh dear, did you do it right ? Have you checked all the other moving parts to the suspension for play ? 👍
Yes correctly fitted Will jack it up again and check tightness of everything hopefully not a engine mount
Yh give it a good check over! Hopfully it’s something simple 👍
Just done one on ranger very tight to get out
Oh really I haven’t had the pleasure of one yet on a ranger ! Good to know tho 👍
Euro Car Shafters 🤣
It’s true! I feel shafted every time I order parts !
Now imagine this driver tailgating you on the motorway, people are scary AF
It’s an accident waiting to happen ! But not now it’s all fixed 😊
Thx for sharing there will be loads of people needing this as its as you say very common 👍
Yes I’ve changed a load now so thought I’d do a video to try help people 😊 thanks for watching
Thank you it's the same process on the American Transit connect, this helped a lot
Hey 👋 glad it helped, thanks for watching 😊
thats the new light sports brake!
😂😂😂😂
Thanks for this vid fixed mine today broke in 2 places , really is too tight decided to extend slightly too so dont get same problem
Good job 👍 hopfully it won’t happen again !
Nice job 👍
Hey 👋 thank you ☺️
Car needs a dam good clean
Hahah yes it does
Hi After i changed the timing belt on the same engine On idling is doing some noisy this happen only on idle When the car is revving the noise disappear Any information please?
Sounds like the belt might be a little too tight, Re check the tensioner ?
@MrAutoFixer thanks man I start the engine nothing just nice engine sound...after 5 min on idle start the noise...Afte other 10 min on idle disappear the noise you think can broke the belt? Is done 10k miles ago Many thanks from scotland
@@aluyal9288 it won’t be a broken belt as it would not run if it was, I would suggest taking it to a garage if you can’t locate the noise, if the noise is intermittent it could be a bearing or a pulley that’s starting to fail, best to get it checked out 👍
Wow
Yh it’s defo the worst I have seen !
Excellent videos this has judt happened to me 😢 the garage is picking it up tomorrow - mine is still trying to fire up . Belt is slack though 😮 worse case how much would i be looking at . Same van as that
Worst case rebuild prob about £2500-3000 mate
Do you know where they ordered the parts? If you're not in the UK
Hey i am in the uk and i use supplies like euro car parts, GSF and Spartan 👍
Should be the same for a 16 plate ennit?
Yh pretty much mate 👍
Can you do a video on how to replace the rear one?
Hey sorry I don’t have a mini in at the moment or I would have done you one
I love mekniks like this. Keep telling people that head gasket are blown..... Understanding of fact that coolant doesn't need to drip in order to escape the system
Hey 👋 I just tell people the facts 👍
If this filter is old would it stop the aircon working?
Hey no it would not stop the air con working 👍
Honestly, thanks for the closed captions. Defiantly came helpful!
Hey thanks for watching ☺️
These PSA Purtech engines seem easier than the Ford Ecotec engines to belt change. I would add that using any high end brand oil is not good enough. It must be to the manufacturers full spec, eg ACEA or otherwise to be as compatible with wetbelts as much as possible.
Yes these ones are a bit easier than the ford ecoboom engine to change, the lesser of 2 evils lol 😂 and yes the correct spec oil will defo help with keeping the belt in good condition 👍
Thank you very helpful 👍
Hey 👋 thanks for watching 😊
What is the price to get this repair done please.
I would allow 5-600 for the job depends where you go and what parts are used. Hope that helps👍
@@MrAutoFixer cheers mate,mines on a 63 reg,it’s on 88K so it’s due to be changed anytime now.
No worries, let me know how you get on 😊
Does the water pump have to be changed alongside the belt? Peugeot are telling me not but I always thought the WP must be changed with a belt. Thanks
Hey 👋 the water pump is not driven by the cam belt so no you don’t have to change it with the belt 👍
Quick, and to the point. Love it. Do you have one for the rear breaks?
Hey 👋 I don’t think so but it fairly similar you will just need a wind back to to get the pistons back on the rear brakes 👍
500
Yup 👍
Great video! ❤ this now I can do my own front break pads🤔...subbed. Can't wait for your channel tp pop off in even greater success!
Hey 👋 thanks for watching! I can’t wait either cos then I can have time to do even more content for everyone 😊
Thanks, man!!!
Hey 👋 thanks for watching
I have a broken sensor wire. The abs light is on do you think that would be the issue? Regards Graham
If you have a abs light on I would go have a code scan done to see what the issue is, it will tell you if you have a wheel speed sensor at fault etc, it won’t be anything to do with the brake pad wear sensor. 👍
So, if you are to clean & refit, is there a gasket that needs replacing?
You can get new seals but if the old ones are in good nick just reuse them and check for any blows after 👍
Great video that! Those bolts are a bugger to get to and get out!
Hey 👋 yes they are a bit tricky, thanks for watching 😊
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a Ford Focus 2014 1.6 litre lw mk2 with a similar issue. The thermostat etc is functioning fine so I suspect it's a similar issue to what your video shows. I don't want to spend more money on this car so wondering if it would be ok to keep topping up the coolant and not worry too much? Please can you let me know? Thanks 👍
Hey 👋 well you can just top the coolant up and carry on you till the problem gets worse then you will have to do something. Who knows tho it could just last ages? Good luck 🤞
Thanks very much. This is the worst car I've ever owned. Constant issues. I'll never buy Ford again 😔
Excellent got me out of limp mode 👍😁
Hey great job 👍
Thankyou. 👍
Hey 👋 thanks for watching 😊
Doesn’t work
It Diego does work, I feel like you may be doing it wrong ? Pop it into your local garage I’m sure they can reset it 👍
@@MrAutoFixer I’m seeing the countdown but still doesn’t disappear
@Rudieas try it a few times, make sure all the doors are shut and you carry on holding the button ffor a bit after the countdown has finished then turn the ignition off and back on see if that works
How many miles did the car have on it?
I can’t ember exactly but it was either 40 or 50k on the clock 👍
Could it be water pump seal?
Not for this car as we could see the water leaking into the bores which is nothing to do with the water pump 👍
Thank you
Hey 👋 your welcome 🤗
I have a 2013 ford fusion 2.0 ecoboost and has coolant loss but my does not miss fire in cold start
Hey 👋 have you had any testing done on the car ? If not maybe pop it to a garage and have some simple tests done to find the cause of the leak ? 👍
Great video. Detailed enough to give me the confidence to do it myself. A question though if you dont mind. As you say there is no need to drain the system first, is there not any fluid loss when disconnecting the pipe?
There will be a small bit of fluid loss, but you could use pipe clamps on the soft pipes if you want too, but as you are going to bleed the system anyway it won’t matter if you lose some fluid 👍
You just saved me money. Thanks
Hey 👋 I’m happy to hear it 😊
How much would something like this cost am having problems with my 3008. If I was to take it the a garage
Hey you would be looking at around £600 for the whole lot 👍
@@MrAutoFixer would the oil pressure fault be on all the time if this was the problem as it’s only happened twice to me and goes into limp home mode but fine again when I turn car on and off
@@stxduffer3974 as the problem starts the oil light will come on intermittently and gradually get worse as the strainer gets more blocked up best thing you can do is go have it checked or changed asap 👍
@@MrAutoFixer thanks it comes up with oil level low but the last two times today been saying oil level correct I have it booked in tomorrow to have it looked at
@stxduffer3974 yes best to get it checked before it goes bad ! Let me know how you get on 👍
Losing .. sir.. not..loosing..
Hey 👋 thanks for watching 👍
YOU LEDGEEEEE
Hey 👋 thanks for watching 😊
A great video thank you, just what I need before I attempt the job myself. My original valve has no water pipes attached but the replacement has the pies for hoses to be fitted. The mechanism for operating the valve is different as well, but the supplier assures me it is the current type and fine to fit.
Hey 👋 all I would say is when you get your one off make sure the new one is the same if not then take your old one to the parts place and get them to match it up from the part numbers on the old unit 👍 good luck let me know how you get on
What if the wires are not good because ours is wet from the selves and stopped wortking
Hey if the wires are no good then I would trace the wires back untill they are good and then make new wires 👍
Nice video and thanks for sharing it. How difficult is to replace the filter without removing clutch? I’m in Australia, and unfortunately the filter is on driver side.
Hey 👋 it’s a bit tricky but it can be done you just have to manipulate the filter into the hole but I’m sure with a few swear words and so scratches up ya arm you will get it done lol 😂
Dahm, thought this was a viagra promo😅😂
Hahah that good was it 😂
@@MrAutoFixer😂😂 a was buckled watching it. 🤔 wonder if viagra would pay you to turn it into an advert, "promo link" 💰 💶 💰
Just bought the wife a C1 with a 1.2 engine and never did i see bad reviews about wet belts. Its a 2017 plate with no advisories whatsoever which tempted me to buy French. Before i go any further great video mate, i wish i had your skills and patience lol. Out of curiosity, it would take about 2 days labour for an average mechanic to do?. Its just so i dont get conned with loads of labour costs 👍
Hi mate as long as the car is looked after it should be ok and to have the belt done should be around £600 ish depending on who and where. You should expect to have the car back the same day 👍
Same here, bought a C1 1ltr as a replacement for a Ford Ka, liked it a lot, but when our daughter changed jobs and needed a reliable car we passed it over. Replaced it with a C1 1.2, for better acceleration as 90% of journeys involve a standing start onto the A1. Thought it was just a stretched 1ltr, bit shocked to find it had a wet belt, now 7 years old, very low mileage and regularly serviced, wondering if I ought to get the belt done.
You can have the belt checked but I would say yes you should have it done if it’s 7 years old regardless of the milage👍
@@MrAutoFixer There's a cautionary tale here for everyone who is not changing their own belt. I have a Subaru as well as the Berlingo. The Subaru has a serpentine belt, as you will know, and it is not an entirely straightforward job. Last year the Subaru was due a belt change and so I took it to a local garage for an estimate. That came out at £850 with new water pump which is about £85. That is eyewatering, given that the main dealers, although a long way away, did the whole job for £300 including the belt. The local garage was either trying it on, or quoting on the basis of time to do the job, which they obviously thought would take a lot longer for them than the main dealers did because of unfamiliarity with the engine.
Thanks for this informative video. I've just purchased the same kit off eBay for under a fiver. Cheers. 😉
Hey 👋 no problem I hope you get a good result 🤞 let me know how you get on, thanks for watching 👍
@@MrAutoFixer Yes, I've got a 2015 Ford Focus Titanium Ecoboost with the 1.5 petrol engine. Slight coolant loss over the last 12 months. Done the usual checks, dye test, checked the expansion tank. Nothing visible so when the kit arrives, I'll see if it gives me a result. 😎
Good idea, i actually have a video about coolant loos on the eco boost engines! Check it out The Mystery of Ford Focus Coolant Loss: Unveiling the Answer! kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIJqk5qdftHbiKg.html
@@MrAutoFixer Hi, yes I've watched that video and it was very good. Pressure test is the way. 👍
Thank you for making this video. It’s enabled me to replace the switch, something that would’ve been a garage job if I hadn’t watched this. My local Suzuki dealer had a few blips ordering the right part (despite me giving them the part number showing your video), but got there in the end.
Hey 👋 your welcome glad you got it fixed ! Thanks for watching 👍
