Make a vid on the psychological aspect of why rma just doesn't lose even if odds are against them it almost feels like they were just lucky but i think their mentality is the reason why, and the refree maybe just joking 😄
Love these vids helping me to understand things better ❤
you're welcome 🤝 appreciate you keep coming back
Thx for video, I have a soccer tournament this weekend and i really want to win. Should i approach it seriously or in a fun way and which one has a better impact on my performance?
You will know yourself best - some athletes do best when 'locking in' and being more serious. Others need to just be pure relaxed/chill. Think about your best performances in the past and try to create that vibe/energy 🤝
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance Thx
Last year when i was on trials with my high-school football tean i felt exactly as this video explains i was scared of making mistakes and i ended up not making it if i apply this consistently to my life i feel like it can really make a difference
Love to hear it. Always a never ending challenge of managing emotions - needs constant work. Just keep at it 💪
Can you do a video for young players as i'm 13 and want some advice
I try to offer tips in all my videos that can help athletes of any age. What specifically?
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance mainly like external factors such as parents and outside forces that can limit your progression and what to do in those situations
Magical advice ✨❤️
🤝
Always been a messi guy but the thing About Ronaldo that impresses me every time is the controlling of his emotions and the affirmations he says to himself he’s a great example.
absolutely - knows he always has to work on it. It's a never ending game
I love most of the techniques in sports psychology can help with everyday life as well!
For sure - I always try to share things that can be used in any domain :)
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance do you think worth it for the average person to pursue a career in sport psychology?
@@broylez4lyfe821 Like anything else, you've got to really want it. It's a long road to become knowledgable enough and to also develop the coaching skills to help people. But if you're all in, it's super worth it
Legendary 💫
Appreciate it 🤝
How did you get into sport psychology? What books do you recommend for anyone interested in sport psychology? Or are there any other ways you learn about the different aspects and techniques in sport psychology?
Was always interested in it growing up after trying things in my own athletic career. Then studied psychology at uni for both undergrad and Masters - more on the psychology of high performance in general. Overtime got more and more drawn to the sports side again Good books - The Chimp Paradox - Steven Peters The Pressure Principle - Dave Alred The Inner Game of Tennis - Time Gallwey Hopefully you think my channel gives more than enough to learn about sports psych 😅
@@SamMartinPeakPerformancecan you make a video on how to meditate and (or) how to wake up daily to train before school?
Micheal and kobe are very good in this. I will be soon too
Absolutely they did 🧠🏀
@@SamMartinPeakPerformancecan you make a video on how to wake up early daily to train before school and how to meditate
@@swiftness5815 bro he ain't making video On anything. Get you lazy ass to work
@@swiftness5815 You don't need a video on that, you just typed out exactly what you need to do Set an alarm at the time you want to wake up at You can use a guided meditation app (or the muse band) to meditate Then train
Does Sam respond?
dunno, does he?
@@SamMartinPeakPerformancecan you make a video on how to meditate and wake up early to train (to train before school)
@@swiftness5815 Will look into it. But waking up early is pretty simple - 1) set an alarm. 2) get up when the alarm goes off. 3) go train 😅 What specifically do you struggle with in relation to this? I'll then see if I have anything good to offer

A meditation performance tracker sounds like a cool device, I'll definitely use your promo code if I end up buying it!
@@vaggelis_s been a game changer for me bro - I like to know if something is actually working and I've now finally been able to see in real time how my brain is responding to meditation. Would 💯 recommend checking it out
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance Sounds great Sam, I'll consider it!
Can you make a video specifically about playing with intention? I believe that this is what I struggle with and I don't really have a motive or anything during training.
Will look into it
Thanks for this important vidio
You're welcome 🤝
Tu es melhor❤
God I love you❤ thank you so much for this message
Someone send this video to indian cricket team😢
Thank you ❤
In a month I will go to try out for a local football team. What do you say I should focus more on, fitness or technique?
Sounds like a question only you can really answer yourself. You'll know deep down where you're weakest. Look inward bro 🤝
Recently cracked one of the hardest exams of our country... during exam got one question wrong due to silly mistake but I just repeated in my mind "One step at a time'.....I remained in the present moment and cracked the exam with more than expected marks...hope it helps ❤
To be honest that's why a lot of high performers have some sort of antisocial characteristics. Because there are some of them who doesn't even feel shame or fear and they are impulsive so they don't really have to think about going through the motions. Yet, I agree mostly with the solutions you offer and you are right ín the lack of preparation part.
Can I edit your thumbnails?
implementing all of them lets go
Djokovic watching this video : 😂😂😂😂
Pre game nap is a game changer.
Some of the lies I also tell myself. But a nice video. Can you make a video which would include cold hard truths athletes or anyone needs to know for their career or life in general. I listened you mentioned athletes need to be grateful and I thought a whole video maybe a nice option on cold hard truths.
Already made one on those lines - kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZZ6pq2Fcaicl9Y.htmlsi=FAGv_Y_4lsO9l8YY
First it was like bullshit but thanku for your knowledge and guidance. Love u from india ❤🕉 valuable stuff
BECOME VALUABLE TO OTHERS, wow
Very well done!
Repetition is the key
absolutely
im the 460th like 😀
Even teens my age need this if taking pro sports serious.Good Video 👍
The last one with the resting one is really really needed for young athletes! Thanks alot
you got it
I dont even tell one lie to my self 😅 I used tell all of those lie to myself but i been doing mental training for the last 6 months. Which helped me a lot
It’s a mentality. A state of mind that helps them get the best from themself
I'm struggling thinking that if I do less reps but better quality that I am letting my standards drop and I have followed your video about standards dropping btw but I'm still stuck.
I'm also injured and resting but my mind keeps saying that if I don't train today "i'm letting my standards drop"
Sorry for the questions but I also have a major game tomorrow and on your "How to Mentally Prepare for a Sports Match or Event (ULTIMATE Guide)" it says that 1 day before you should prioritize rest and take your mind of your sport but my mind again keeps saying that not training means I'm letting my standards drop.
Follow the steps in the standards video again. You need to reprogram your mind surrounding training and recovery. You know what's best for you but you've got to do better in convincing yourself to believe it and be at peace with it.
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance Thanks, I already updated/changed my standards a couple days ago to make sure I keep raising them
Great video, players of any sport especially the younger ones need to get the idea of being the "best" out of their heads because it can and will stagnate any growth/ improvement, ofc we will all tell ourselves lies but the difference between the ones that continue growing is that they realize that they are being delusional. Like myself, I sometimes tell myself I don't have to worry about who I play but I instantly realize how stupid that thought is and erase it. Thank you for the great video. I will be going on vacation in like 2 days and won't be back till like mid-August so my comment streak will be over but I will be sure to catch up on new videos you put out when I get back 🤣thank you for all the informational videos and have a great summer.👍
Great insights as always. Enjoy your break bro. Welcome back anytime 🤝

Maybe staying within the comfort zone is a problem, but It's quite hard to try and gauge if my "comfort zone" isn't comfortable.
If something starts to feel easy then you're in your comfort zone
