We hope you like our travel channel! We have been to some really cool places and we love sharing our experiences! Some good, some great, and some that the kids would call mixed reviews. We did "101 days in Colombia", we lived in China for some fun and we travelled to Japan and Thailand. If you like family travel videos, you should definitely watch the videos!!

That nurse, like all the people in Colombia, was so nice. And she def had the magic touch!! The bugs in Minca were the most ferocious on the trip. Even more than the Amazon.

Because of the travel, I would say 3 nights. …2 full days there is great. 2 nights might seem rushed. Have fun!! Great place to visit. Make sure to get out on foot for a few hours each day. Very cool sights
I'm from California in an area that doesn't snow. However, the Sierra Nevada mountains are nearby should we wish to play in the snow. I lived 1 winter in Idaho and that was enough for me to realize that i'm a warmer weather kind of guy. Your hometowns looks beautiful. Thanks for the tour. Less than 3 months and I'll be in Colombia with the wife and kids. Can't wait.
It can get cold in Nanaimo, but our city is still the warmest in Canada. Haha. We are planning to get a place in Colombia for the winters. Once the kids get a little older. …we absolutely love California. We come often. Love the Santa Cruz area. Big Sur is amazing. Hope you have the best time in Colombia. It’s a “can’t miss” trip. We stayed at an Airbnb. I will find the listing and post it here. It was a good place! Not perfect, but great location and the little hot tub. Good times in Guatape.

Balcones de villa de leyva. The place was pretty good. We had fun. Really enjoyed villa de leyva. The warm sun in the square was amazing.

I noticed that Dana now looks very different compared to the videos in Colombia, it seemed to me that she wasn't very comfortable there, maybe it's understandable because South America in general is different.
Quite the contrary! Dana may have loved Colombia the most of our family, but she likes speaking on camera the least. Haha. We are coming back to Colombia soon. We miss it so much. Thanks for watching the video. I know it’s way different than the beautiful scenery in Colombia.

Our pleasure. We loved making the videos. We did the videos so we could always remember Colombia and our amazing family adventures. We will be coming back for sure to vacation and semi retire there. …I am not sure where we will go, but I want to visit many more places.

The gondola is something I've been wanting to do for a long time (and live in Cali) but my daughter will probably have te same face as yours, it's not really the most beautiful view but I think it should be fun, love the dad vibes I imagine myself doing the same :)
You should. It was really cool. We did another trip like this in Medellin, but I liked the Cali one better. It wasn’t busy at all and all the workers and people were super friendly. Actually, looking back, I don’t think it would have been dangerous to walk around a little.

When you are on Cartagena beaches, I recommend you to ask first for the price of everything before take some because street artists, masagge therapists, street artist and so on could scam you.
This is very good advice. Haha. I like to barter, but you are in Cartagena you have negotiate everything. Not many other city’s in Colombia are the vendors so active.
Great vids! Takes me back to 2017-18 when I was living in Cartagena and I would hop on a bus to Palomino at every chance. Can't beat the mix of beach, jungle, mountains, really nice locals and good food in the middle of nowhere. But I'm surprised that the roads from the town to the beach still aren't paved considering how much tourism there was back then and is likely much more now. What's your take on it?
Absolutely! It’s an amazing place to visit. I loved the hikes in jungles and then swimming in the ocean. It’s a beautiful place to relax. The food is soooo good there. When I go back to Colombia this year, I want to visit Palomino again. I also want to visit some of the beaches and islands around Cartagena. Which is the best family beach do you think?
@@McClintonfamilydventures Cartagena is tricky. Not sure that I would describe its beaches as family friendly due to the amount of partying, sex tourism and infinite vendors. Baru and Islas Rosarios are what you’ll see/hear the most from locals and foreigners BUT there is a hidden gem just south of Cartagena that I highly recommend. The town is called Rincon Del Mar and it’s home to the San Bernardo archipelago. Rincon Del Mar is a 2 hour bus ride from Cartagena then a 30 minute taxi from the main road - again, a hidden gem but so worth it once you’ve arrived at the archipelago. I have great memories there. There’s even a hotel on a raft called Casa En El Agua that I bet you and your family would enjoy!
We actually had plans to go there for the last 2 weeks of our trip, but I came home early for a job posting. I kind of regret it. I wish I stayed. But we are going back soon. So I will check it out then. Thanks for the info! Take care.
Those rap artists could become so unbearable and unrespectful if you don't give them money. When I was visiting Cartagena 15 days ago I was trying to avoid them
I totally agree. I always went into stores to try and get away from them. Haha. I know they are only trying to make a living, but sometimes they are too aggressive.
Cartagena little by little is dying with those scamming and intense street vendors. It is surely the worst place for tourism
I did not really like all rappers and vendors, but they are just trying to make a living for their family. So I can understand.
