Hello. to a special Famliia. I've watched and enjoyed your Great Colombian videos. I'm from Medellín. I've been livig in the US for 45 years (Atlanta, Georgia). My wife (US native) and I will retire in Medellin (actually La Ceja del Tambo), God willing, at the end of this year. We also have one boy and two girls. Well, they are grown now (done with their Universities!). There is so much to see and experience in my State (Antioquia) and Colombia in general. I confess that the the main reason for my comment was seeing the picture of your son with the "Atlético Nacional" cap. My wife was a travel agent for many years and had visited many countries. In the late 1980s during the horrible and extremely dangerous Pablo Escobar years, I took her to Medellín. After just one day there, she told me that she wanted us to retire there. Enjoy your time in Cartagena! and beyond!!!

The gift is tradicional custard flavored with cinamon and some raisins on top. Very typical in our december holidays.

What the kid gave you it's called "NATILLA". It's a desert for x-mas, if you eat that with " BUÑUELOS " it's better. Enjoy the trip to the beautiful Guatape..

Guatape was amazing. Great times. I think my favourite was around SAN Gil and barichara.

We stayed at an Airbnb. I will find the listing and post it here. It was a good place! Not perfect, but great location and the little hot tub. Good times in Guatape.

Absolutely. I will definitely buy a place there. I want to come to beautiful Colombia every winter for several months. In Canada, it is too cold now! I still haven’t decided where I will buy a house…maybe the coffee region or maybe Barichara. …where do you think the best place to buy a house?
