Years ago I was embroiled in a painful personal conflict that involved betrayal at the highest level, but came to realize the greatest struggle took place in my mind, so I wrote something I think we can all relate to now and then: The row of jurors called in turn, Step out from shadows of my mind, Familiar scene by now well learned, A verdict, but never an answer find. Cast down a raging river of blame, And add with angry tears we cry, Revenge the play that ties the game, It's tooth for tooth and eye for eye. Yet sentence spared and life to live, All malice gone without a trace, When those forgiven, then forgive, As freely gained, give freely grace.

This little light of mine.... i'm gonna let it shine! Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine ... you're a moon cat on a mission, like a meteor through the galaxy, flyin a billion miles an hour, at mach Jesus... grab your harmonica and get aboard the train, baby! Lol... love ya J, and everything you're puttin down! You're the best because you have a broad perspective of life and playing the harmonica, and you're willing to take us along on your journey and share what you know. God bless, and God speed my friend. Thank you for keepin it real, and givin your best to us! 😎👍👍 (two thumbs up wigglin) I have this re-accuring vision of you playing "when the saints go marching in" for a new orleans saints game... for the entire stadium... like only Jason Ricci could do. I think it could be epic. Probably the only time this steeler fan would root for the saints! Haha ⚜️ So do me a favor, and the next time you play "When the saints go marching in" think about playing for the entire stadium before the coin toss, and the saints handin it to the steelers 56-0! 😆 (the way the steelers look right now in pre-season, that might not be too far fetched). 🙌

Jason - I, like many others, appreciate the fact that you are on a quest for many things. Where we are fortunate is that many of us are going through the same things, at different times. Sometimes it's to do with technique - at other times, a deeper investigation needs to be made, as in this video. What I like is that, whatever issue might come up, you have likely addressed it, or will address it at some point. I'm realising that a person must exercise control with the instrument and not grandstand while using it - same goes for any instrument. Yes, we get excited sometimes, but we need to communicate and get closer to something through music. You do it with words as well, which is not easy. Thank you.

I'm basically a harmonica hobbyist... I'm pretty much a collector of hobbies... I enjoy doing many things... sometimes a hobby just finds me... I just reached my 70th birthday, and I have to say that playing harmonica is my most favorite activity since discovering it back in 1978 after seeing and hearing Norton Buffalo on an "Austin City Limits" episode on my local PBS TV station--Norton just blew me away, so I had to learn to play "harmonica" ! Fortunately, I had a decent and long career in IT (they called it "data processing" way back then !), so the idea of having to play harmonica for a living was never really a consideration. The best part of playing harmonica has always been the friendships that I made over the years with other harmonica players and musicians... from meeting local players back when I started, to making new friendships, thanks to SPAH, Harp-L, other harmonica clubs, and Facebook. I have always strived to improve, as I have with other hobbies... that's what makes it fun... getting better, getting more accurate, getting better results, etc. It's always fun to play with local musicians whenever possible, but I usually don't get out much to do that... getting to old, I guess. Jason, you have always been a great inspiration ever since I met you at a Columbus Buckeye Harmonica Festival many years ago... Thank you for all the inspirations !
