    This is an excellent video. I really enjoy learning this way. I do have one question. I noticed you used "que" in some sentences. I know you don't like teaching with rules and I don't like learning that way. But can you plead explain this one? Thanks.

  • @c.learningclub
    @c.learningclubКүн бұрын

    Glad to hear that! In this case, you have seen me using "que" as parte of the verb "tener": - tener: to have - tener que: to have to (do something) So here, "que" is just part of the verb and doesn't have a direct meaning in English. In other cases, "que" can have these other meanings: - Qué: What - Que: that (when explaining something). E.g: the video THAT I watched: el vídeo QUE vi

    I feel you. I learned English, French and Chinese Mandarin with a huge focus on grammar and it took me double of time to start to become conversational. With German, instead, I only learned the really basic grammar and I started to become conversational in months. Focus on what is really important for you to learn according to your daily life. You can do it!

    @@c.learningclub Okay, muy rara la cosa, jamás he escuchado eso antes en un contexto gramaticalmente correcto. Es posible que sea un uso más frequente en España y quizás en otros países hispanohablantes. De donde vengo yo eso sencillamente suena falso, así como en idiomas eslávicos o germánicos (a excepción del inglés). Aprecio tu respuesta rápida y gracias por el input :) Que tengas una buena semana!

    Me gusta todo lo que dices and do these things myself. I really find that having someone to actually talk to is so helpful. I love it when you put the dialogues on the screen because that really locks in sentence structures and the ease of real language use for me. I really want to use italki, but I am absolutely terrified of getting online with a stranger. I don’t necessarily want to be corrected constantly- I want to work it out myself through the challenge of an interchange. My question to you is how do you keep languages straight without mixing words together from other languages? This is my biggest problem.

  • @c.learningclub
    @c.learningclubКүн бұрын

    Thank you very much for sharing these valuable thoughts! I'm honestly constantly struggling with mixing languages on a daily basis. I personally can't have more than 3 languages "available" in my mind to speak (although understanding is different). Sometimes it's even easier for me to express certain topics in English than in Spanish, and I think that's completely fine. In the end it's all about your personal situation and the languages that you need on your daily life what will be dominant. Then, learning additional languages is absolutely fine but we shouldn't punish ourselves when mixing them up, just keep practicing and have those languages more "available" to be ready to speak next time💪🏼
