Remember we dedicated this song to each other, not knowing which of us would go first but both accepting our feet were on that edge as far forward as they could lean. You won, now a year ago this past February. Even though I’m closer to falling off as ever, you choosing to go sooner made my feet grapple at the ground beneath me just a little stronger. I love you, always. Free of the restriction that enwrapped and pained you. You promised we would go together, but something made me hold out in spite of having health conditions and a chronic pain disease that has progressed to absolute immobility and sorrow. Yet in spite of all of this, I’m still here. You chose your weaknesses of a more self serving controllable path and made the decision to jump off of the deepest end embracing what you knew was on the other side. You didn’t try whilst I’m still trying just to catch my breath every second of the day while my disease eats away at any lingering life I still protect within myself to feel worthy of having. I’ll never forget the years I listened to this song on repeat. I was so lost. I lost my brother, I tried to commit suicide. I was on cocaine constantly and alcohol. I had no cares for myself or this strange existence. I lived under a dark cloud in an abusive relationship and on the road to utter self destruction. I gave my life to Jesus Christ and I have still had my ups and downs but I cope better with Him than all those destructive things. I pray it gets better for anyone reading this. My life has been lots of suffering and pain but now God is my hope even in my most darkest hours. Love and peace to you all.

This song was my way of describing how I felt to people when I couldn't verbalize it myself, after my mother passed away from lung cancer when I was 16 years old. ❤Please tell your friend that it will never get better, but eventually he will turn around and realize it doesn't hurt quite so damn badly.
