Well, this is live in “the studio” from what I can tell. Still, you can hear hints of the old grind core style vocals. Interesting that they went with the more polished and commercial sound for the end-product of the album.

Are you kididing me? Burton isn't Britney Spears or T-Pain with all of the studio magic. He sounds exactly the same live, but in a lot of the videos on youtube his voice is shot out. In this video, they're playing out in the cold, so of course he's gonna sound like that. Check out the Worcester videos of Fear Factory on youtube. He nails every song, if not, better than the records.

I would have Obsolete on a desert island and NEVER GROW WEARY OF LISTENING TO IT. What unoriginal crap is out on the radio - and its too bad because there are so many awesome bands out there. Burton changed the lyrics up a little in this performance. Instead of saying "I am nothing" he says "I have nothing". I'm glad he changed that because it makes you feel a little less worthless while listening to it. Anyways, this song is as beautifull as it is brutal. Burton is at his best here. Let's hope he comes around and gets that album out in '09.
