    What happens to all the fluid when it's removed to put the plug in? Wouldn't the natural gas mix into the water as soon as it's fractured? So when the water comes up, wouldn't gas and oil come up with it? I get that the fissures remain open and can flow freely into the well bore once the plugs are all removed, but what confuses me is what happens to all the oil gas in between each of these steps. It's not like the oil and gas are going to sit there and say "okay we'll wait until all the perforations are fractured and plugs removed before we start flowing to the well". It seems like some oil and gas has to be lost in the process. Please help clear this up for me! Thanks.

    Hi folks: My name is Michael Anderson, and I'm a project manager with BrightLeaf Group in Austin, Texas. We're working with PETEX to create a module for an instructor-led training course. Our SMEs found your video, Chesapeake Energy horizontal drilling method, and would like to obtain permission to use it in the course. Would you be able to forward this inquiry to the person in your organization who can grant this permission and let me know? Many thanks. My email is [email protected].

    I used to work for Chesapeake Energy. Beware if you get hurt while working here. I did and had to sue the company's insurance company. And Chesapeake has such influence over workman's compensation laws. I didn't want to do this but had no choice after I was injured because they didn't take care of me. Even after I had my surgeries at least I can work. And the money I received after the injury was pathetic.

    The producers of this video deliberately conceal major environmental impacts such as: WATER CONTAMINATION & POTENIAL MIGRATION OF CHEMICALS Just recently drinking water was contaminated in Texas and Pennsylvania - ALTHOUGH the drilling company used this alledgedly "secure protection tubes": www.theguardian.com/environment/2014/sep/15/drinking-water-contaminated-by-shale-gas-boom-in-texas-and-pennslyvania-study It's not the first time that the cement is leaking and causing high rates of water contamination. Hydraulic fracturing generally needs incredible large quantities of water, and thereby threatens water supplies and aquatic life all around. AIR POLLUTION Also, the gas is not as environmentally friendly as claimed: Air emissions from hydraulic fracturing are related to methane leaks originating from wells, and emissions from diesel or natural gas powered equipment such as compressors, drilling rigs, and pumps.Transportation of water and sand by trucks can involve high volumes of particulate air pollution. SEISMOLOGY Hydraulic fracturing causes induced seismicity called microseismic events or microearthquakes. These microseismic events are often used to map the horizontal and vertical extent of the fracturing.The magnitude of these events is usually too small to be detected at the surface, although the biggest micro-earthquakes may have the magnitude of about -1.6 (Mw). However, as of late 2012, there have been three instances of hydraulic fracturing, through induced seismicity, triggering quakes large enough to be felt by people: one each in the United States, Canada, and England. Not even mentioning the risk of mishandled waste... Read more on the impacts: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_hydraulic_fracturing

    In past 100 years factories car maker in the U.S , they only maker cars, trucks engines run on oil & gasoline. This has been addicted oil from OPEC worldwide for long. The American people only buy cars and trucks run by gasoline or oil. Today Tesla motors designer electric cars runs with high- tech batteries. Tesla car is the best electric car. New high-tech of Tesla cars, will replace gasoline engines cars for America future. In past six year since July, 2008. PickensPlan has makes proceed for American renewable energy independence. Boone Pickens Says: “1.9 Million American has signed up, supported for the PickensPlan, keep go on! More and more Trucks and buses are switching to natural gas". "you get the 8.5 million trucks and fleet vehicles on domestic natural gas" Hope next step is transfer 8.5 million of 18-wheelers trucks, engine run on diesel (OPEC oil), convert all engines run on Natural Gas (DNG). Americans people wake up, education themselves to make a change for renewable energy independence in long term. This also will benefits for many American new generations, in 21 Century. How do they actually turn the string from vertical to horzontal?

  • @dippyanddakota
    @dippyanddakota10 жыл бұрын

    Bent sub. Down hole motor. If they stop rotating the pipe and still pump thru the motor the hole will turn in the direction of the bent sub. When they want to go straight, they rotate the entire string.

  • @thedude4795
    @thedude479510 жыл бұрын

    what is a bent sub?

  • @dippyanddakota
    @dippyanddakota10 жыл бұрын

    Izio Shaba To drill with a mud motor rotating the bit downhole without rotating the drillstring from the surface. This operation is conducted when the bottomhole assembly has been fitted with a bent sub or a bent housing mud motor, or both, for directional drilling. Sliding is the predominant method to build and control or correct hole angle in modern directional drilling operations. Directional drilling is conceptually simple: Point the bit in the desired direction. This pointing is accomplished through the bent sub, which has a small angle offset from the axis of the drillstring, and a measurement device to determine the direction of offset. Without turning the drillstring, the bit is rotated with a mud motor, and drills in the direction it points. With steerable motors, when the desired wellbore direction is attained, the entire drillstring is rotated and drills straight rather than at an angle. By controlling the amount of hole drilled in the sliding versus the rotating mode, the wellbore trajectory can be controlled precisely.
