Thanks for the helpful video, with the new SD card the games are working again. Before that I had used a function for GBA games where you press the left and right stick at the same time. A menu then appeared where you could save states, among other things. Unfortunately, this no longer works with the new SD card. Any suggestions on how to get back to the menu with the save states etc.?

  • @batpixel

I'm glad it helped. I don't have access to this handheld now, but usually depending on which emulator your game is running on, you can hit start/select/or the menu button to bring up the emulators menu while you're in a game (sometime to get the menu to pop up it can be weird button combos) If you're running a game using RetroArch as your emulator, usually you have button combos for shortcuts you can press to save/load a state

Is there a reason why the rg35xx h runs out of charge super fast even after doing a full shutdown? I havent used my rg351p in over a year and it still had a 93% charge and took hours for it to die during gameplay. Keeps a charge just fine too. I was looking forward to replacing it with the 35xx h but with that battery issue that's not happening. Is this an issue with the other xx devices? Is it the OS that could be the problem? The unit charges fine with a standard A to C power cable. They never claimed to have fast charging and I don't think its an issue for the price. It's a good product. The only issue I found was was minor? light bleed at the bottom of the screen but only really noticeable on a black screen. As reported by enough people on reddit. Compared with the amazing game menu it's not going to bother me when you can adjust brightness and can't really see anything when playing Other manufacturers have this issue reported as high as a £150 Price point so its something I will keep an eye on

Happy birthday!! I got mine yesterday, but retroarch is so difficult for me. I've been watching videos and still only understand basically what I already figured out myself. There's so many menus and options. Plus all the files that dont need to be seen. Like just alot, i hope I can grasp it and customize to my liking soon. Spent the last 2 days trying to get it set up. Also how do you get the gameroom/ RA game folder to read card? Mine are always empty, so I have to use retroarch itself. Just wish it was not so difficult for somethimg that should be plug and play. I love clamshells and would like to get this working to play. Also the touch power button to analog does not work for me. I also mapped the d pad to the analog controls for n64. But it unfortunately does not work for me. Does any of this become second nature.

@batpixel You're welcome, thank you for the fast reply. I hope it's not defective. I'll see what I can do. I did update and download the latest firmware. I just can't get the D pad to emulate joystick and I don't see anything showing up under RA folder. I have to go into the Retroarch app itself. It be a bummer to have to send it back. Would I just message the company I bought it from or contact Anbernic themselves? Everything else appears to work. I can play games when I do load them. I just have a learning curve ahead of me lol. But those where the two things I don't have out of the box. Is the RA folder is just empty and the analog option.
