Hey I followed this guide it was pretty helpful up into the point of getting games on the system. I have the games in the right place but when I insert it into the sytem it won't show them.

That's strange. On newer systems you may need bios files. But if not then try an updated guide video as they may have changed something. I never had any issues. You could try the install again as their may have been an error

Thanks for the helpful video, with the new SD card the games are working again. Before that I had used a function for GBA games where you press the left and right stick at the same time. A menu then appeared where you could save states, among other things. Unfortunately, this no longer works with the new SD card. Any suggestions on how to get back to the menu with the save states etc.?

I'm glad it helped. I don't have access to this handheld now, but usually depending on which emulator your game is running on, you can hit start/select/or the menu button to bring up the emulators menu while you're in a game (sometime to get the menu to pop up it can be weird button combos) If you're running a game using RetroArch as your emulator, usually you have button combos for shortcuts you can press to save/load a state

Thank you for thi as I will try and fix my version as it came without the Operating system and would not turn on - i only got the games disc... So at least i can try and do this. As my one will not even turn on....

The new software does not come with games, but you should try seeing if your computer can access the old cards you purchased. Use a new sd card for the software

hey so when I try to download the file from Google drive it says I can't view or download it. When i try to download it via mega it's not the same file what should I do?

I just got one of these today and the lesser 8bit/16bit games will only have sound unless you go into the options and change ARKOS to something different and then the 8/16bit games function (AUDIO AND VIDEO)IM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH PS1 and N64,if i try and launch a 32/64bit game it sends me right back to the rom selection screen no matter what i change its the same with 32x too.I also thought the ARKOS firmware included a Dreamcast emulator but its nowhere to be found even though i think there are Dreamcast roms on the 128G rom card it came with,ive owned a few of these Chinese handheld emulators and this RGB20S is one of the harder ones to learn to navigate.

Hi! I have a huuuuge doubt and I haven't been able to find anything about it! I got mine yesterday and looked for Yoshi's island at once since it's my favorite game. The thing is, everything looks exactly the same, except the levels are levels I haven't seen never before and there is no record of them. I tried looking by level name, Super Mario wikis, but there is just no record of the levels that this Yoshi's island in this console has. Do you have by any chance any idea of why are they different from the original?

I'm not sure. Maybe it's a 'homebrew' game or did different countries have extra levels? 😂 check if you have the Game Boy Advance version of it on the device as well and see if there's a difference

The only thing you could try is putting the card in your computer and access the folder

i updated my software but when i try transfering the games to the new folder i cant because my laptop has not enough space. so i put back in the original game card and the games are not there. is there another way i can transferr the roms

If your computer has 2 ports you can plug both cards in at the same time and transfer without using your computer space

lol it’s pretty good for an older chipset. I guess the big selling point was the stickers and stuff, sold a ton. I wouldn’t use it for my every day device haha

sorry to ask but is there any way to download the exact version of arkos that you have, cause what is happening to me is that whenn i use rufus to install arkos it "transforms" the sd 64gb into a "8gb ish" by not assingning part of the space of the sd card and is also strange cause it shows al lot of folders with console names and it doesnt show the boot folder. I maneged to create a new "volume" using the partition manager of windows and the console but the "main" space is still apart from the rest. Also i tried just putting a folder of games in the sd to try and see if it detects it but it doesnt

My version is ArkOS 2.0 (09292023) that must be September 29, 2023 so try searching for that. Also try searching for a different version of your partition software

Hello! I recently purchased one of these. It worked! Once. After that first play session, when I tried to boot the system it would just display a black screen. It was turning on, but not displaying anything. I followed this tutorial but when I turned on the device with the new SD, it just did the same thing. Do you have any ideas?

I'd suggest formatting the new card again to FAT32 and try it again. If that doesn't work, and the old cards are not working, I'd say return it for your money back or get it exchanged, as it may be a faulty device

Spider-man: web of shadows is an amazing psp game. I wish I had a psp with every possible game. It’s hard to come across one with zero issues so emulation is the best option.

Yeah these softwares are updated all the time. I'd assume it works, just with some updates. Just make sure to use a new reliable card

Yep make sure you're using a new SD card, not the one that came with it. Format it to FAT32 is the best option. Then install everything on it

Oh I see now, sorry. That's either an issue with your computer, SD card reader, or the SD card itself. I had to get a new SD card reader, as my old one was not working great. You will have to try searching for multiple methods online on how to retreive files from an SD card that isn't reading on a computer that is asking you to format it. If you can't retrieve the files, it's not a huge deal, as there are other ways to get game files in general, but I can't share how

I updated the software now all I do is get the game card put it on my pc and copy and paste the games to a new folder and take it out and insert the new operating sd card and copy and paste the games to it and that’s it .

Try formatting your new SD card and try again. When you put it in your device, wait at least 30 minutes, if it’s not finished, hit the ‘reset’ button

I would highly recommend installing a new ArkOS on a new SD card like I did in the video. The software that comes with it is very unreliable. You should be able to access your games on your old card you purchased

I backed up game folder and once I copy and paste it into my 64 os sd card but it says not enough space. I just updated the software . Plus where do I transfer the games do I paste it on the boot or easyrom file ?

How many GB is your game card? Maybe try transferring some games at a time, instead of all at once, due to lack of space. You should see where your roms are located on your old card. It should be the same place on the new one

Yeah it optimizes some things and is a lot more stable. RetroArch menu options can really help you out

I transfer the game files to the new 128 sd And I switch to 2sd to Roms but my games don’t show up. So I put the sd card that came with it and I have my games back but I would like to install them on my 128gb card

It sounds like your games are either in the wrong place or the folders are not named correctly. Might be a bit of trial and error. Instead of trying all your games, just pick an emulator like the original Nintendo and use 1 game from that to get it working. Then transfer the rest over

hi, could you help me with this issue im having? i accidently messes with the drastic emulator and now i cant get the controls to work! so cant play any nds games at all! ive tried every thing i can think off but not having any luck! ive tried the rufus on a new sd card as well with arkos but its just not booting up!! is there anything i can do to get the drastics back to how it was at the start? ive tried restoring settings but thats not working either!!

It seems like you tried all the things. Is the device not booting up at all with ArkOS installed on a new SD card? So i followed your tutorial and tried to make another arkos on a new sd card and it shows the arkso logo with the super nintendo controller and then just goes blank!! Dont know what else to do 🤯 lol

@ashleighham6352 it sounds like you know what you're doing so you might just have a dud. You can try testing something out when it goes black screen.. this sounds weird but I experienced it on my Powkiddy RGB30.. when you power it up and the screen goes black, use your phone's flashlight and shine the flashlight at the screen on an angle. If you can see the menu or text slightly, you may be able to navigate to the screen brightness menu and turn up the brightness. If it's completely black with no trace of the menus, then you might be out of luck if none of the software is working

So I've just been trying everything to try an fix it myself, and trying every possibilities that I've seen on KZread!! But I'm just having no luck!! 😓

You can try mapping out the controls in the emulator’s menu when you have a PSP game open

@@khaipham1580actually I think this handheld uses a stand alone emulator for PSP. So when you open a PSP game, open the emulator’s menu and see if you can map out your buttons in there. You may not be able to depending on the emulator’s menu options. I don’t have access to mine at the moment and I’m across town in a snow storm lol 😂 you can also search Reddit for ‘Powkiddy RGB20s PSP emulator’ for more advanced info on it

@@khaipham1580push down on the right analog stick during the game. Then go to settings-controls. Just fyi this changes the settings for every psp game I haven’t figured out how to do one game only.

Personally I could care less about smiley face buttons, and will never put a sticker on the front of this thing.

You should always do a backup of the files on a PC in case it corrupts or you lose access. Your computer might just not be recognizing the right files on the card/assigning it a drive

If you don’t have enough room to transfer, just do some files at a time. Do it in smaller sections

The software is always updating. Depending on the stock SD cards they send you or the version of the custom firmware you install it may be changed a bit

Yeah that’s different. I’d recommend installing the custom firmware from the video on a new Sandisk SD card, the stock card you have is unstable for both the software and hardware of the card anyway. Just transfer the games over later

It may actually corrupt lol make sure to backup on your computer before putting it back in. The stock software is pretty unstable on this device. You could probably sneeze on it and it would corrupt 😆
