Nah, this movie is honestly pretty solid and a lot of these takes are absolute insanity to me, so I'm going to be real and say that this review isn't great. So much is explained within the movie and you all somehow missed seemingly every bit of it. Why is everyone defenseless? Because they flat out say several times within the movie that "they don't come all the way out here" so they think they're safe and don't bother defending themselves. Many people know of the rules, but don't necessarily follow them (or believe them) because they didn't have to deal with the entire thing until the main character screwed everything up. Also, the idea that there needs to be a protagonist in all horror movies is just wrong. 90% likable? What? You do NOT need someone to root for unless it's the most basic of cookie-cutter horror. (which is fine if you like that sort of movie, I do as well) This movie doesn't HAVE a protagonist. The main character is the driving force of everything bad that happens. If he hadn't messed with the bloated body, nothing else in the movie would have happened. If he hadn't needed to be "the hero" he could have left the kids alone and they would have been entirely safe. He actively defies the rules, and he actively suffers the consequences. He believes himself to be the hero when in fact he's a coward, and actively affected by the "evil" throughout most of the movie. No, there was never just "one possession at a time" and this was made obvious very early into the movie. Neither were said possessions 0% or 100% (which explains our main character's manic, nonsensical, and stupid decisions that pile up as the movie goes on) Also, you guys should have known, having watched the movie, that this isn't an "infection" at all. It's unborn demon possessing people in order to be born. Also, yes, the rules are established. They were established in order to purposely be broken by fallible humans that will always make stupid or cowardly decisions in dire situations. Humans don't follow the rules. 10 Commandments, anyone? Those are the most important rules to many people, and many of those people certainly don't follow those rules even though they know the consequences. Enough of me trying to explain things in the movie that were already explained in the movie as well as thematic framing. This video would have been so much shorter if you had just said what this entire video says in the better part of an hour: "1. I don't like this genre of horror 2. I have a specific preconceived notion of what horror should be. 3. This movie doesn't match with my preconceived notion, therefore it is bad." As established, you guys believe that horror needs to have a "likable protagonist" and "someone to root for", you don't want to see children dying in your horror movies, which means you're the entirely wrong neck of the woods with this movie. This is nihilistic horror. It is raw, it does NOT have a good feeling after viewing, and it's not for the faint of heart (or those that aren't willing to put in effort to understand the world laid out before them). Yes, most people don't want to SEE the child being mangled and dying, but it happens in MANY movies of this ilk. Hereditary being the most obvious one. Kids aren't magically safe just because they're children. What you call "lazy writing" is more you not understanding what you have watched and claiming something that didn't actually happen, or happened different than what you say. The only truly bad parts in the movie, to me, were the use of Jair (he was just utilized badly) and the cheesy school scene with all of the school kids, and the end was also pretty weak. Bringing the kid back from the seen with the bloated man was just... eh? I guess up for interpretation. Regardless, there was a DEPRESSING lack of understanding or paying attention to what was being watched here.

Perhaps reading court documents and not using google would be more helpful if you decide to talk about a case in the future. You cannot believe everything on the internet, especially mainstream media, who has been extremely problematic regarding this case. There were zero connections between BK and the victims. His lawyer, Ann Taylor, has stated this...and not too long ago the prosecution finally admitted it as well. 1122 King rd was not Greek housing. It was off campus. There were 5 people living in the home, and 6 that were there at the time of the murder. 2 on the 3rd floor, 3 on the second, 1 on the first. They first located BK after they put out a BOLO for a 2011 to 2013 white Elantra. Washington State LE located the vehicle first and contacted Moscow. Keep in mind that there were 20,000 ish white Elantras in that area, and BK's Elantra was a 2015. I have a hard time believing a FBI expert could not distinguish between those years/ body styles. He was in the area 12 times before the murders. "In the area" means anywhere in the entire area that the cell tower covers. He never connected to the wifi. And considering there is one tower in that area...that's quite a large area when the PCA says "in the area." The sheath had touch/transfer DNA...weakest type of DNA. Anytime you go to a grocery store, you most likely will obtain someone else's dna by touching something another person previously touched. Touch dna only means that BK MAY have touch the sheath at some point. It doesn't even guarantee that he touched it. It does not place him in the house. He did not leave his blood behind. Something else interesting to note about the sheath: ONE officer, Brett Payne is the only officer that says he physically saw the sheath. Even though he walked through the crime scene after other LE because he showed up at 4. Even Officer Blaker, who walked through with him, did not say he saw the sheath, he said he was later told by ISP that a sheath had been located. I find that interesting. You don't think Brett Payne would point out such a "damning piece of evidence" to the officer he walked through the crime scene with? And none of the other officers noticed the sheath during the hours before the lead investigator Payne graced them with his presence? Wonder how that happens... The video of the car was found by a clerk at a gas station. LE didn't search out the video. It has never been confirmed to be BK's car. They supposedly built a family tree via genetic genealogy by collecting garbage from his parent's house to obtain the DNA to build a profile. IMO this is all BS. Digital evidence DOES NOT PLACE him at 1122. The harrassment allegations from the local bar..never been verified. BK NEVER contacted any of the victims via social media, nor did he follow them. On the drive home, BK's father was talking about a stand off involving Brent Kopacka who was shot by SWAT, not a murder. Bk wearing latex gloves...never been verified. He waived his right to a speedy trial..because as of today..the prosecution has still not handed over the entire discovery. He hasn't gone to trial because of the prosecution. It kind of begs the question; How in the hell did they ever have enough evidence to arrest BK, when they cannot seem to hand it over to the defense a year and 8 months after the crime took place? The separation of the trash: 1. Never been verified. 2. If he was doing weird things with the trash it could be due to the fact that his family lives in a gated community that has extremely strict trash guidelines and rules. They fine for damn near everything. I could see wearing latex gloves to separate recyclables ect. Overall the investigation was shotty, at best. Spreading misinformation about a case like this, is not right. Many of us believe he is being railroaded, and spreading these types of unfounded "facts" can be extremely problematic and help to push a false narrative.

This Story, the Titanic, Spanish Flu Epidemic, the Great Depression and the Japanese Attack of Pearl Harbor were things they talked about often that impacted them. Amelia Earhart was kind of a folk hero. An American Woman Pilot that they believed had survived and was stuck on an island somewhere in the vast Pacific. I’m not for sure but after hearing their stories I might have prayed as a small child before bed time that she would be found safe and well. Like sitting in the basement with a cold Dr. Pepper listening to friends talk👍👍👍👍👍

DAMN! Speaker doesn't know the words for the Bow (front end), or Stern (back end of a ship), and can't remember the name of the guy who first found and photographed the 'Titanic' wreck in 1985, American oceanographer Robert Ballard. Could the panel do some basic research on the subject before these shows, and maybe take some notes in with them as memory joggers for the all-important facts? It's really frustrating to watch, when they are talking with so few specific facts at their fingertips. This podcast is the on the level of a drunken chat with pals at the bar on a Friday night - passes the time, but you're not gonna learn anything, or even remember it an hour later!

@@JadenDeniseh Are you aware that all viewer comments, good bad and indifferent, are a positive result for a KZread channel? Comments reflect traffic, and confirm people are watching. On that front 'Cryptic Dish' are winning, as there are many more posts here making exactly the same point I did about the remarkably poor quality of this podcast. If only the sloppiness I referenced were a 'one-off', as you claim. Alas there were umpteen other howlers too numerous to list - eg the host and guests weren't even aware the 'Titan' submersible had a window! Non-researched, inaccurate statements, glaring factual errors, and pseudo passionate speeches that trail off, having thrown light on precisely nothing at all, are absolutely fine in a bar - not so good on a podcast. If these three guys are as hurt as you were by some robust viewer feedback, they're way too sensitive to be on KZread. But I suspect they have sufficient smarts to be thrilled by any and all feedback! Let's hope they're big enough to embrace such criticism and improve their content as a result of it. Do these speakers do any prior research before their shows? They only had to use Google to learn James Cameron was invited by Stockton Rush to join one of the 'Titan' expeditions to the 'Titanic' wreck. Cameron refused. Unsurprising, as he'd already made 33 successful dives to see 'Titanic', many of which were scientific fact-finding/mapping missions. Needless to say, he went to those incredible, 12,500 ft depths in state-of-the-art, properly designed and constructed submersible craft. No way would he have set foot in the carbon fibre coke can called 'Titan'. I suspect Cameron recognised what a promotional coup it would be for 'OceanGate' if he was seen to endorse their dodgy operation, even tacitly by joining a 'Titanic' trip. No doubt that was Rush's whole motivation for inviting him. Ditto PH Nargeolet, known as 'Mr Titanic' for his 37 previous 'Titanic' dives, who was engaged by 'OceanGate' as a tour guide. Nargeolet's presence would inevitably have given people false confidence that the dives were safe.

I worked on Grumman S-2 Trackers during Vietnam (the only female in Avionics back then) but we had a pilot in our training squadron that reminds me of Stockton Rush. It was the talk of the Squadron that we had some international student pilots to be trained there. One day I got a call for the "hot spot" (planes engines running). It was the pilot and he had three of the international students! (can't remember the country I think Italy) I told the pilot I would have to down the aircraft to fix the problem, he told me "Get off my plane you're just a GIRL and I want a man who knows what he's doing!" (I trained all the guys in the shop by then) But okay. He kicked out my coworker who told him the same. We passed by someone from the electrician shop going into the plane. He told us later that he'd also informed the pilot he'd have to down him to fix the issue. That made the pilot furious! At this point, back then, it was the pilot's call. Shut down, take another plane or wait another day, wait for repairs, his call. He took off anyway, even cussing at the Tower. Making everyone tense. Like a bad feeling. About 30 minutes later, the entire hangar went silent, the eeriest thing I've ever experienced, not a sound. No engines running, no takeoffs or landings, no shop banging on something. Then I knew, I just knew. I ran to the Control and asked "Was it......" He said "I can't confirm" but he nodded . We lost that entire crew on that plane. I cried all day. I was so angry. What a stupid pilot, why did he go anyway? Was it because of the students? Being the pilot that would be training them? The big shot? Probably, a lot of pilots were egotistical. A lot of hubris for sure. That's just their personality. When a Harrier came to the base it was told NO to vertical takeoffs so of course, they did anyway. Told not to buzz the tower, they did anyway. Listening to this reminded me of long ago and that pilot that knew there were issues and took off anyway. And people died. That's the saddest part when someone wants the glory and doesn't care who's in harm's way.

Titanic is a grave sight, just leave it alone. Bob Ballard never thought anybody would go visit Titanic after he discovered it so he never put a claim on it.

Another great show! I’m wondering if the button to turn off the transponder had a big red arrow and print that said Attention Terrorist this button will make your plane almost completely invisible to ground controllers and allow you to have a much better chance of completing your diabolical evil plans! DO NOT PUSH!!! I’m thinking Boeing wants out of the commercial aircraft business where they have to compete against Air Bus, they are one of the largest Arms manufacturers where youreally don’t have to compete. That’s where the big bucks is for sure!

All three are clueless about the Titan disaster and haven't done even the most basic research on it or even the 'Titanic' wreck's history - it's embarrassing how basic and ill-informed the discussion is. But 'hypocrites' how?
