The 9th Meeting of the Group of Senior Officials (GSO) on Global Research Infrastructures (GRI) will take place on 15 and 16 May 2017 in Naples. The meeting will be jointly hosted by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (SZN), on behalf of the Italian Government. The two hosting research organizations are actively involved, also with a coordinating role, in some research infrastructures included in the ESFRI Roadmap (European Strategic Forum on Research Infrastructures), which are strategic for Europe in the field of Earth Sciences: in particular, EPOS-European Plate Observing Systems, EMSO-European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water-column Observatory and EMBRC-European Marine Biological Research Center.
