  I do not know guns but I've always understood why in the old days dry fire was considered not good for a gun. 2 hardened steels hitting each other is bad always as opposed to the hardened pin hitting the softer brass.

  @@chenlee3240 yes, hammer fired pistols could have issues, but striker-fired pistol should be ok.

  The Walther definitely has a cleaner break. But there are characteristics of the Glock that I also enjoy. I am taking the PDP to the tactical games this year.

  Glocks performance trigger is pretty good, but I do have a gripe with it. The same problem as the Timney has and that's the Overtravel. After you pull the trigger and rack the slide, the performance trigger moves even further back and the reset gets longer. I wish they would've made an overtravel stop in the housing to fix this problem, because Timney had the same problem also from the start. I mean there are after market trigger housings with overtravel stop, but since it's a custom type housing for the GPT, you can't use those aftermarket ones without hard modding. With the Timney you can use those aftermarket ones or just get a Ghost connector with OT stop. Other than that it's a great trigger, still prefer my PDP just because the ergonomics.

  if you were to fail the ccw class can you just reschedule for another class or do you need to redo the whole process? i’m in the sacramento county and i just submitted my application for a ccw, got my appointment in 3 months.

  The qualification standard set by the state is pretty easy. With 16 hours of training, there is plenty of time to work out deficiencies.

  Typically when people press the trigger they tend to pushed the gun slightly life or right causing inaccuracy. Dry-fire is a training method with the goal of minimizing movement when pressing the trigger.

  Cant wait to compare the Glock Performance trigger to my bro's VP9. It's similar to the PDP. So far I'm a fan of the GPT. About 500+ rounds and getting used to it. Idk but I think Glock should be putting these triggers in all their pistols. For the price of any of their 9 mm MOS pistols, it should come with it imo.
