This is a channel started by a gamer from the 80's and 20 years of building PC's for myself, family and friends. Atari 2600 and NES were my first gaming systems when I was a kid. While I love all gaming this channel has a focus on Handheld gaming and PC more than anything. Currently most videos are focused on Steam Deck, ROG Ally and the Legion Go.

hello i really appreciate what you've done here, the only channel does comparison like this. Can you do steamos 3.5 proton 8 vs steamos 3.6 proton 9 when it out stable? because when i try on preview 3.6 makes fps lower.

can you do a chiaki4deck VS PSplay comparison? I'm sure most people would love to see it as well cuz there's no reason we'd convert to psplay unless it's faster or more consistent than Chiaki4deck. Especially you have to pay for it as well
why does my steam deck only have 46.5 gb when I bought the 64 gb version
The Operating System itself takes space rven with nothing else installed. 64GB wont get you far for long even with an sd card. Definitely recommend an ssd upgrade when u can

If you start the game in w10 you can play it "good" in Steam deck

Ran into an issue. I first followed the steps at your first video (installing via Desktop) and this didn't quite work. Then I saw in the comments the link to this video, followed the steps. But then it speed-ran all installs and nothing changed. So I tried to uninstall all launchers first via desktop mode. Then also did start fresh in desktop mode. Then I launched gamemode, reinstalled the plugin, started fresh in the plugin, and yet it speed-runs the installs except now all the launchers don't even show in steam anymore. Nothing else works. Any tips?

Unfortunately, following each step, nothing shows up in the non steam deck folder, every launcher states its downloaded but cannot find anywhere. Any idea on this?

My FPS is capped at 90 with these exact settings on. Do you have Geforce now in Balanced mode or custom?

The steam deck has an 800p screen tho. So you cant rly. You could stream it thru cloud at 1080p but the screen is still 800p. docked on and external display you could.

On the windows handhelds I use MSI afterburner that I customized for the channel.

It doesn't record the steam overlay, does that mean it won't record radial or touch menus set up with steam input?
Doesn’t seem like it. Seems to only grab the game footage. Hopefully they can add the ability to cap everything else

Your "2 to 4 frames" in first example is 5 to 10% which is really huge performance hit and we don't even know the settings you've used so you may used the jetengine mode (no TDP limit) for that example.
Yea its similar to some other recorders ive tried with a loss. Even msi afterburn or even Decks own overlay or recording. It all takes performance away. It will definitely be game and or settings dependent as well.

Honestly the fact that you can buy a subscription and have the power of an RTX 4080 on a $500 tablet is literally insane.
Ok cool I was testing it out on Elden ring and it was just a freeze frame of the game so I’m glad it was just a bug and not a me thing I re installed the beta update 2 times to see if I had a botched update the first time. Awesome stuff man.
Yea definitely some buggy stuff going on but Valve will get it straight.
So would the recommendation be to buy the Steam version of games instead of the Epic? I am currently thinking about buying Sifu, which is $7 cheaper for the Epic version than the Steam version, but the primary way I intend to play it is on the Steam Deck
If your primarily playing on the Steam Deck I recommend buying games on steam whenever possible. Third party launchers working on Deck have come a long way and luckily we can play alot of our games from other store fronts. But its not as guaranteed as steam.

The first thing which is in some of my tips and update videos is make sure all updates are done. Windows, Microsoft Store, Legion Space all have updates especially when you first buy a Go it will help way behind. Typically takes 1-3 hours to do all the updates in a new Go depending on how it came.

No. Fortnite isnt a launcher issue. Its not allowed on Linux period. You gotta cloud stream or go windows.

45FPS is good for games like this. You can get used to 30, but it gives me a headache after some time.
So I am going on thr Microsoft store to download the amd software via Google link bc it doesn't come up when u search for it in the Microsoft store search bar for some weird reason. Anyways I click download and the download bar just circles and nothing actually happens. Please help !!!!!!

Unfortunately, this isn't working anymore. None of my custom movies play.
Capacitive sticks to activate gyro aiming, the 4 back grip buttons and OLED make older shooter games feel the best to play on Deck OLED. It's a shame the other handhelds don't have the same capacitive sticks as the Deck.

Hi, I want to ask about how to solve "Console Login PIN" when I click chiaki4deck on steam library? I didn't setting that pin number, but it always show that message and the only way to solve this problem is to open my PS5 and go to setting->click remote device option, when I see that 8-number, my steam deck will auto connect to my PS5

The OG 512 gb was an investment lol I was mad at vavle when they released the OLED but I upgraded to a 2TB SSD and yeah still got my OG deck almost 2yrs strong loving Halo infinite on it especially multiplayer.
