The Zone, you heard stories about it growing up. A place with no rules, no laws, no parents. In your 20's you left home and went to the zone to rebel against society. Months and years went by for everyone else, but not you. Everyday was the same yet so different, life in the zone was hard. You fought just to see the next day, everyday. But you eventually left. Every Stalker does, they leave the zone either by the zone taking them or them leaving the zone themselves. Its been decades since you left the zone, you haven't told anyone about your time there in fear they would think your still a Scavenger, a Trespasser, an Adventurer, a Loner, a Killer, an Explorer, a Robber. A Stalker. But that was a lifetime ago. But even in your old age, you remember everything. Your friends, your comrades, the mutants, the constant firefights with bandits. You remember the campfires and guitar songs that you even learned to play. Stalkers might leave the Zone, but the Zone will always call them back. So, Stalker. Lets have a drink and smoke for the ones that never left the zone. Those are the real stalkers. I miss you Cicero, you were a good Stalker.

One of the best levels to just ignore the scoring system and be a maniac. I still feel like if Absolution didn't have the scoring it would've been much better received, because scoring implies avoiding/wiping tracks, while Absolution encourages you to *create* and *not* wipe said tracks.

Listen to this song everyday because its relatable as together we are all strugglers. We may not have been to war or lived in chernobyl or fought bandits but as a whole we are either struggling or not struggling yet. However no matter what anybody can tell you, call you or do to you. Keep your head up high, your radiation meter equipped and some bolts in your pocket. Stay strong STALKER!

I'm not sure why I'm here, maybe because I feel I've lost so many friends and family along the way. My grandparents are dead or dying before our eyes. My grandfather of which I am a name sake is unlikely to make it to the end of the year. I've lost friends my childhood to more recent years. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was always just so calming. Being able to sit around or sneak around. I wish I could be one some days, not having to worry, knowing where I'd be no matter what I do. Perhaps the zone is simply a dream I wish to live but shall never see. Perhaps its the blank parts of my mind in which I roam at night in my dreams. I know this coming year shall be one of loss, one of hardship. I just hope I have the strength to make it through.

It was a day as any other in the Zone, the sky was cloudy, wind howled through the trees, birds were flying above, and the irradiated creatures roamed free. But for some reason you weren't there, it must have happened after we got separated yesterday, I needed rest so I went back to Rostok but you went to explore the Dark Valley to secure a route for us. Little did I know that when I went to say hello to who I thought was my friend... I would get a bullet through the stomach as an answer, and since a group of mercenaries were who looted my weak body, I would guess the same happened to you, I just hope you got a quick and nice death unlike me...

After a long haul, I finally completed my GAMMA playthrough today. I played as Clear Sky, so when I knew I was finished I figured it'd be appropriate to return to the Swamps. I climbed up the tower at the old church, the sun just starting to rise. I hit play on my guitar...this was the track my character played...such a fitting end.

I have lost my best friend in a traffic accident 3 years ago. I can't stop my eyes filling with tears when I listen to this song because it reminds me of him. He was a good stalker indeed.
