    i would never say Tre is acting like a "child" cuz he keeps making poor choices. I would say he's acting like someone who is literally from the hood and watching the people around him get unalived. come on now. You dont need to be from the hood to understand that

    Fun fact….the actor who plays the Duke, and the actress who plays Daphne were both in another show a few years prior to Bridgerton called Waterloo Road, but I don’t think they knew each other back then.

    It wasn't him saying there's 'good sushi' that made her kiss him- she never stopped loving him after he left her. That being said, it wasn't right to kiss him back while she was still engaged to Krish.

    Really enjoying these reactions so far ❤ thank you very much for the awesome content 🙏💕 One thing I might suggest when watching a period piece is keeping a dictionary app open. With a lot of words, the connotation changes, shifts, or narrows over time. For example, "affair" has two distinct meanings: 1) An event or sequence of events of a specified kind or that has previously been referred to. 2) A sexual relationship between two people, one or both of whom are married to or in a long-term relationship with someone else. In modern times, we usually only use it to mean the second one, but back then they frequently used it the first way as well. Another good example is the word "intercourse". Nowadays, it is almost always taken to mean "sexual intercourse" but the word "intercourse" itself just means: -Communication or dealings between individuals or groups. But yeah, whenever I am reading classical literature I have to look words up constantly. The only reason I don't have to do that with shows like this is just that I've read a fair bit of classical literature, but even still if ever there is a word I'm not totally sure the meaning of (to the extent that I could give a definition of the word) I prefer to look it up and know for certain I am understanding it correctly. Period dramas are, to me, confusing enough without the linguistic challenges added to the mix ☺️😂

    this movie has nothing to do with black history, you should have watched Malcolm X, or Rosewood or something

  • @Zachary_Michaels
    @Zachary_MichaelsАй бұрын

    I get what you mean but we just wanted a film that focused on a black story whether it was a historical figure or a story about an everyday person - because both are important. We had options of both on our poll but this was what the audience voted for and to be fair this film is an important one for the history John Singleton made with it and for what it did for black creatives in the industry.

    The girl in the middle and left side’s comments are low key pissing me off. Sit, watch, and LISTEN. It’s a cultural difference and you won’t get everything from the movie because you don’t live the life. There are many things in the black household/community you won’t ever get so please.

    Responding with “that’s it?!” to Mikey saying “I love you dude. Let it rip” really shows that she doesn’t understand the relationship between Mikey and Carm. That’s all the closure he needed from his brother. Carm saying “F**k you” is him saying “how could you do this to me” but also “I love you for at least leaving me with a parting message of love”

    Sad to say that is a small portion of the black experience not every black person grew up in the hood but for those who have this is closet thing to reality on film. 10 out of 10

  • @Zachary_Michaels
    @Zachary_MichaelsАй бұрын

    Totally agree! This wasn’t necessarily my experience growing up but I know many people, including my own family, that it is an authentic representation of. It is 100% a black experience - but not the only black experience. We’re not a monolith so I love seeing us represented in all facets of life & experiences etc. - it’s all valid!

    Ur reaction vids would be a lot more enjoyable if everyone could just commit to watching the whole 20 min episode. I swear she watched her nails more then the episode, previous reactions ppl spent a good portion on their phone...and hey it's ya'lls channel so do whatever u want! I can't help to think there's a lot of ppl like me though, that are kinda turned off by it, and honestly it's just a huge distraction like I can't even focus on the other reactions cus I'm trying to figure out what's so important that ur staring down at, be it phone or nails or etc. And of course we all do stuff like that occasionally but when it's the majority of ur reaction for a show that's only 20-25 minutes, it begs the question why bother? If u can't commit 25 mins to focus on the episode, why should viewers commit to spending 23 minutes watching a reaction of u not watching? Anyways, hopefully yall take the constructive criticism in stride, or dismiss it if u want, as I said it's ur guys channel, and I'll still be watching these reactions, but yeah some food for though for ya in case nobody has ever commented on it before. 🤷🏾‍♂️

    U can at Dough’s actions as a way to say “MOMMA I ALWAYS HAD MY BABY BRO’S BACK NO MATTER WHAT” it’s one of the part people don’t discuss his actions had so many meanings. Trey was their brothers but not by blood Dough was like I can’t get mad at u it’s was me and Ricky before Trey moved into the neighborhood.
