  6:41 girl complaining about her parents, I am not allowed anything on that list. When my parents found out I had a secret boyfriend they took my phone the whole summer and put screen time on my phone (opens 6:59 AM and closes 7:00 AM). Fun fact: this was march 2023, it’s currently May 18, 2024 and they still didn’t change it. You know how embarrassing it is being 14 and about to go to high school and I have screen lock. They don’t let me out of the house anyways, only to church and school and they always tell me that I’m spoilt.

  My moms threatened me so many times when I acted out. I accidentally hit my brothers eye, and she went over to me and threatened to punch me without letting me explain. One time I wanted to make raviolis, but my brother didn’t, so we argued, and she came over and said she was holding back the urge to kill us. Then I was at the fair, and she said she’d get the cops here and they’d have to take her off from beating me if I acted out. I’ve been grounded ever since I was ten. That was years ago. I’m not allowed anywhere, she wants me to go to a church school where the teachers are racist, homophobic, and absolutely toxic. I’m not allowed to keep my own money for my birthday, and instead she takes it and puts it where I can’t get it. I’m not allowed to watch Tv without her permission, and for my birthday, she didn’t want me inviting anyone over no matter what. Once, when I was ten, I got TikTok because all the other kids had it. I just wanted to fit in. I have a successful kind of account, where I had 17k followers. My mother found out, and screamed and slapped me for hours, which cont8nued on for days, to weeks, where she would remind me how much of a disappointment I was for getting the app in the first place and putting them all in danger for being hacked and killed.now she wonders why I don’t say anything when she used to tell me if I cried, she’d give me a reason to cry. Or when she’d hit me with her phone when I said my opinion. She’s always right I guess.

  I know the sound of my parents footsteps, my phone gets locked at 10 pm till 7 am, I have to ask before I watch ANY show I can’t do sleepovers I can’t be in my room with my phone I have to go to church on Sunday morning, my parents have to know the my friends parents I can’t bring my phone to school I don’t have a number I have an email tho the pantry is locked at night.Ik there are ppl with worse problems I am just telling mine in the comments.

  This may not be a popular opinion, but most of this is not super strict…they are still allowed to do the things. Most distrust is distrust for a reason…the cameras are overboard. Parents want to know that their kids are safe, so they want to know where they are and when they will be back, as well as if they are safe/who they are with. Also, kids have responsibilities…chores are not strict. Unplanned friend visits invade parents space as well…think of the parents wellbeing as well…I didn’t have a phone until I moved out, so they are lucky to use one as well
