    Glad you are good bro. Im in the same boat with being burnt out with content stuff. Ive been watching a creator here named SimonFordman and he doesnt talk through his videos but hes just working on his cars. Maybe doing something like that would be good if you wanna stay making content. Either way im gonna stick around.

    WOW! Glad you didn't get hurt! That could have ended a lot worse! On the flipside, good that you had a plan to recover and get the driveline running again! Sounds like Houston Drive Train Service, Inc. stepped up to help you with the driveshaft and TEXAS DRIVETRAIN PERFORMANCE helped with quick turnaround on the transmission. Take your time and recoup. I hope you don't give up you've done well with the car so far. Like you said, maybe work on your other projects for a bit and come back to the Impala when you're ready! Dave

    I think the 52ftlb vs. 48ftlb is BS, at that point the bolt itself is just stretching. Plus….. they came up with those torque specs from the factory, that’s what I’ll be using!

  • @mylifesucks327
    @mylifesucks327Ай бұрын

    It’s an odd one to me too. It doesn’t make much sense to me either but I just decided to play it safe. I doubt you’d have issues going with the factory spec!

    What about a 2013 metropolitan scooter 🛵 not starting up when battery is ok? It has no carborator .. 😢

  • @mylifesucks327
    @mylifesucks327Ай бұрын

    Bad gas, vacuum leaks, fuel pump being bad, unfortunately there can be a lot wrong and with these small motors, the small issues can be enough for it to run rough. I’d check all your hoses, maybe new spark plug, make sure good gas is in it, drain any old gas if it’s been sitting a long time.

    I have two CB750s ( 1979, and 81). Both have Pods. The 81 has stock pipes still beautiful. My 79, I put a Delkavic Header to replace its rotting pipes. Be alert when using Pods that they are not blocking the vacuum intake port of the piston, or the air duck. - The Cone Like Pods I had to modify to account for this. On my 81, I accounted for this. She still has Torque at 90 mph The other has 4 dirt bike Pods that do not block the vacuum intake ports - Also Be Alert to subgrade look a likes for the Rubber Collars for connecting between the Carbs and Heads. They have no strength and will rip if having to support the weight of the carbs when the airbox is absent. I was glad to have OEM backups

  • @mylifesucks327

    Unfortunately in my particular car they didn’t. I tried haha. Passenger side fit but driver side would make too much contact with the steering box. I’ve read that LS3 Camaro manifolds fit. Read this on a forum some time ago but no idea what motor mounts were used. That all comes into play as well.

  • @mylifesucks327

    How many inches lower is the car intake? Does it have much of a change in the torque curve does it do? I'm putting a L92 into a jet boat and want the engine cover as small as possible . . .

  • @mylifesucks327
    @mylifesucks3273 ай бұрын

    I believe the car intake is right around 5 inches shorter. But I can’t confirm that for sure as I’ve only read that, never measured myself. You’d have to dig a bit into forums to double check on that, unfortunately. But I can tell you that if I had a truck intake I’m not so sure it would even clear. As far as torque curve goes, that’d be having to compare some kinda dyno sheet. But a usually the idea is the truck Intake will make the torque sooner and have less high end. Car intake will be the opposite. Could make the same torque but will be at a higher rpm.

    Not sure what your plans are for the AC system, but my 0.02 cents is to restore the factory style AC and use that, i have vintage air in my chevelle (heater only car) and the blower noise inside the cab is kind of annoying and loud. I restored the factory AC system in my crewcab squarebody and it kicked ass with a Sanden 508 compressor! I know the factory stuff isn't the prettiest to look at but GM spent lots of $$$$ making it work right
