  kingcrimsonとかpinkfloydとかELPとかに影響を受けてるというのは分かったんだけどこの雷みたいなギターとうねるベースなにから影響受けてるの？ プログレを基盤にヘビメタチックな荒々しいギター入れたらかっこいいんじゃないかって師匠が初めて考えたの？

  This is a timeless piece. The instrumentals are just a delight, and the vocals complement them so well. This piece instils inner peace, it's so beautiful and relaxing to listen to, time and again.

  Dave Cousins did the lead talk vocals with Def Leppards song When the walls came tumblin down. Actually met him quite a few times albeit he was mates with my parents. Always remember he was a gentleman and everybody loved his company. Genuinely nice chap. And only now have i realised just how much he achieved. Yet a humble individual.

  It has to be The Strawbs best album. I still have my 1972 purchase vinyl copy in very good condition and with the remarkable three way fold out album cover.

  I have 3 copies! The artwork is stunning. It's arguably the best album cover of all time, though the original octagonal cover of Happy to Meet, Sorry to Part by Horslips runs it close.

  Blue Angel was akso a magnificent song off another album. The nusicianship of these guys ia out of this world. I play electric guitar and keyboards as a studio muisician, mostly fusion but some early prog from time to time and Strawbs is and by far the most intricate to replicate properly even though I have the sheets rifgt in front of me. Their way of shifting from pop to rock to classical to Celtic all within a same song. And their lyrics are the most thoughtful I ever encountered, with the exception of Rush. As for the vocals they simply impossible to reproduce, their voices are one of a kind.
