    3:58, You're surprised that there isn't a larger lake in Colorado? Colorado is a high desert climate.

    I knew it was Lake McConaughy! It's probably only 6 ft deep, too. LOL Shasta is probably the largest in California.

    Lake Baikal in Siberia contains more fresh water than all the Great Lakes put together. So there's that.

    Lake Cumberland in Kentucky has 1,255 miles of shoreline. The state of Florida has 1,355 miles. It’s also 197 ft deep at its deepest

    Some rivers, despite constituting the border between two countries (or states), lie entirely within the boundaries of one country. The Potomac river for example, lies entirely within Maryland, despite being the border between Maryland and Virginia. I am not sure if there were any examples of rivers like these in this or any other of your lists, but I am wonder if those types of rivers would count.

    Interesting to note the flood control lakes along the Mississippi River spend most of the winter as empty as they can get them. They fill up again each spring to mitigate the floods on the Mississippi River. I suspect that happens to most flood control lakes in the USA. I found several rods and reels while duck hunting in the empty lake, where I would normally have 6-10 feet of water over my head each summer, in (flood control) Sardus Lake about 8 miles from Oxford MS, home of Ol' Miss (University of Mississippi) where I received my BS degree. I spent a lot of time hunting or fishing in that lake.

    What's interesting is that, in the wet season, the Everglades is either a 50-100 mile wide slow moving river from Okeechobee to Florida Bay, or a giant 6,000 sq mile lake that's an extension of Okeechobee. If you're including River reservoirs and seasonal lakes, then in my opinion the seasonal Everglades/Okeechobee should count as the largest lake located entirely in a state.

    Just because someone calls it a sea doesn't mean it is a sea. i.e. The Caspian Sea is actually a fresh water lake.

    Suggestion, for the quizzes spend more time reviewing the result at the end, that's a fun payoff at the end of the video. Example, for the border drawing videos, compare to the real borders more and so on. As always super impressive results!

    You got Mississippi wrong Sardis Lake is the largest by almost 3 times as Grenda. Sardis is 98,520 acres, while Grenada Lake is only 35,000 acres

  • @edmartin875
    @edmartin87515 сағат бұрын

    That's what I thought but I haven't been there since the mid 70s and I spent most of my lake time at Sardis anyway. I remember driving near Grenada once (really vague memory of water in the distance but was that Grenada or some other lake memory) but I never went out on the water.

    Went to Carlyle Lake for the first time in April as it was JUST inside the path of totality for the eclipse, and I was really impressed! Rent a cabin was very reasonably priced, and getting to camp in a cabin about 15 feet from a lake, that was cool. Highly recommended!

    Salton Sea is drying up due to stupid DemonRat politic....They come up with the laws that CA cannot save water until hundred thousand of cubic feet run into the ocean to save some small fish that has not been seen 30 years ago. Plus they don't allow any reservoir projects for years.
