    I have bloom and I don't see anything wrong with it. I didn't order it straight from the company, I got it from TJ maxx, so I feel like it was never bought somewhere else and sent there (I call TJ maxx the reject store but cheaper). I put it in my smoothies because I don't like the way it taste by itself. In my opinion is too sweet. Cookie crumble people with the box mix probably had that cause they ran out of cookie mix and had to quickly buy some to keep inventory up... I don't eat their cookies though.

    This why I thank god I live in the uk - you put too many bad additives/preservatives in your food and your labelling is really misleading.

    Thank you for trying these. I'm always blown away by the number of people who hate on something just because some tik tok "influencer" said they should without first forming their own opinion. Drumsticks were designed that way and never claimed to be high quality ice cream. It's a hot day out and the kids want something cold. Do you want them to actually eat the ice cream or do you want the ice cream to instantly melt all over their hands, face, clothing, shoes, car seat, and everything else they come in contact with?

    Okay because I hear this all the time and it is a bit annoying at this point... Ice cream is a legally protected term. Anything that does not meet that definition cannot legally call itself ice cream. This doesn't mean that what you are eating is fake or bad. Dairy producers fiercely protect definitions of cream, ice cream, butter, and milk. This is why you see terms like "frozen dairy treat" or "buttery spread" in lieu of ice cream or butter. It would be like if cotton producers said that only textiles made of 100% cotton could be called fabric.

    There's nothing wrong with what's in the drumstick. It's just cheap for a reason. The stabilizers are what make it melt weird, but honestly... I'd like to see what would happen if you scooped out the innards from a drumstick and mixed that in with proper creme anglaise to see if it would just result in a crazy smooth, almost unbreakable ice cream mixture. Kind of like using cream cheese or a little bit of American cheese in a cheese sauce to help make it extra smooth and keep it emulsified better

    Drinking soda for gut health is such an American thing. The rest of the world eats actual food good for your gut, like fermented foods, but not us. We've got a soda for it. 😂 Also, the clear liquid coming out of the drumstick was probably melted ice from the "ice cream" filling. I've seen overly processed "ice cream" separate like that before, leaving behind the foamy stuff.

    I disagree with the chipotle online ordering thing vs order in person, according to this video” Surviving Off Chipotle For 30 Days” across different locations over 30 days he did conclude that you get less with online orders.

  • @honeysuckle
    @honeysuckle13 сағат бұрын

    I definitely think it depends on who’s preparing and the location. A 30 day experiment would give a more accurate sample tho but I still think it depends on your region. Maybe because we live near the chipotle HQ they adhere to a consistent standard. You just never know!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @jsho574

    The thing with crumbl is they don't cook their cookies all the way through. I worked with them for about a month and they only bake their cookies at 290 for the same amount of time that most cookies are cooked at 350 for. I saw a post from another employee that claimed the temperature out of the oven did not meet health standards and he was pretty much fired for alerting corporate about it. If you bake your cookies at home, then go right ahead with making medium rare cookies, but for a company to do that is sus.

    I’m glad you managed to make coffee pot margarita safely this time but please never do that or anything similar involving high proof alcohol again. Alcohol boils at around 80C, much lower than water, and the alcohol doesn’t just disappear - it forms a cloud (which you noted - the fumes). I didn’t see any ventilation, and this is a fire/ explosion risk (I winced when I saw the jalapeño toasting step - toasters have exposed heating elements). If there had been an open flame, or a spark in your kitchen, that could have been a fireball at best or an explosion at worst (depending on exactly how your coffee pot vents off the steam or how its electricals are set up). The original TikTok using a larger quantity of alcohol would have been worse - more fuel! I am internally screaming about how many of these things are going up that could cause serious injury. 9:34

  • @funky58abi95
    @funky58abi9514 сағат бұрын

    The first three are why I wish food science was taught in schools alongside nutrition. There's really nothing wrong with drumsticks seemingly not melting; it just has a bunch of air plus natural stabilizers in it that make the texture thick and continue to hold its shape when it melts. It's not labelled as ice cream and it's really not fair to hold it to the same standards as ice cream. Is it worth the price considering so much of the product's volume is air? Probably not, but that's not what people are complaining about. With Poppi and Bloom, most foods that make "miracle" health claims will usually only give you expensive bodily waste because the majority of people get a perfectly acceptable amount of micronutrients through their regular diets.

  • @Fabdanc
    @Fabdanc12 сағат бұрын

    Agreed. A lot of people also do not know that a term like ice cream is legally protected. So being a "frozen dairy treat" is not because it is some ultra synthetic concoction... it just means it does not legally meet the definition of ice cream because the milk fat content per weight is not sufficient to meet the standard.

  • @bubblegumplastic
    @bubblegumplastic11 сағат бұрын

    Disagree. They try to capitalise on people's desire for ice cream while trying their best to camouflage the fact that the product is not ice cream. It's easy to say "oh it's perfectly clear to consumers, because they don't directly state it's ice cream anywhere" but the pictures look like ice cream bars, it definitely tricks a good portion of their customers - including me! I can't describe how disappointing it felt to grab an ice cream bar and get that stuff instead, it was fine while eating but then sat in my stomach weird and made me feel nauseated. The more we got through the box, the more nauseating they became. It's a deceptive practice, because the actual product is inferior. I think we should go back to more whole foods, and make sure we get rid of minimum wages that haven't been indexed in decades, so people aren't stuck buying products like this fake ice cream and miracle whip.

  • @Fabdanc
    @Fabdanc11 сағат бұрын

    @@bubblegumplastic and this is the slippery legal slope. How does one legally define an image of ice cream? It's likely been brought up in court before... They are really interesting cases to read because in many cases, they will argue about where those items can be placed on grocery store shelves i.e. not next to ice cream or ice cream based products. Also in terms of labeling... There are things that dairy producers are not legally required to label. For example, they do not have to legally disclose the amount of somatic cells (white blood cells) in milk or milk products -- so you don't know how sick the cows are. This is also why there is a brewing debate between raw and pasteurized dairy products.

    I tend not to believe most things that makes big claims on health benefits and such because more often than not it's exaggerating or an outright lie. Regarding the whole shrinkflation thing, a few months ago everyone here in Canada got into an uproar over KD. Traditionally our KD boxes hold more than the US version but a few months ago they shrunk the amount packed in there to be the same as the US version while still charging the same price. So yeah, that's definitely a thing and it's aggravating. I kinda had the feeling the Drumstick one would be confirmed.
