Wow. Really disappointed to hear about THREE Hooters restaurants. I live in a city with 974,447 people and we don't have a Hooters here. According to the website, there's one 30 minutes north of me and one 50 minutes south of me, which seems reasonable. I can't imagine why The Villages would need 3 for the area. That's not going to go well with all the ridiculous loofah rumors. Another lovely home of the week!
@@ChynnaBlue1 3 in the area so not guaranteed to be in the Villages. There are a large number of new Apartments already built and also in the process of construction, maybe that has something to do with it. Definitely not something I will be visiting but someone will.
We had trouble hearing Jana talking through most of the video due to the background music. She doesn’t talk loud enough to compete with that background sound. It was frustrating. The best part was the home tour with no music. Food at Lopez looked good though. 😆🤗
Thank you for letting us know, I’m sorry you had problems. I watched it again and didn’t have any sound issues, the fans at Lopez pool were a little loud but that was all. I asked my neighbors and they had no problems either. I asked a friend of mine, who is up to date with technology, what could do that. He said that on some devices you can adjust the level of background noise and there is a possibility that the settings on your device need adjusting. I don’t know if this helps but hopefully it will . Thank you for watching and contributing. Jana

@@beingkitschroeder2507 We watch every week too, and hadn’t noticed the background music in every segment as we did this one, so now we need to go back and see why it wasn’t bothering us before this week. Weird. Will keep watching though.

My grandma used to love Hooters in St Pete. I also had a mushroom swiss burger for lunch today at Culvers. Looking at that menu, I think I would've ordered a lobster roll. Have you been to "Let's Do" in Mt Dora? A friend of mine who lives in the Village of Chatham said they have the best lobster rolls. IDK, because I've only had lobster rolls in New England, and at CTT in Celebration. My sister and I are going to the Cousin's Maine Lobster Truck on Sunday, here in Ohio. They're supposed to have great lobster rolls also. I really like the finishes on the HOTW. Big fan of all of the color choices. Do you think there's room for a pool? I love that "new house smell."
I’m not big on lobster, I will cook it now and again and order it on a cruise but that’s about it. I have heard that cousins do a good lobster roll and I would like to try one of theirs.
Very lovely home. I see vehicle traffic just on the other side of the trees. I would like a wall on that side as well. The decor has a decidedly masculine feel to it. Very tastefully designed.
There was some road noise outside but we couldn’t hear anything inside
@@tnek6591I edited my comment. You responded before I had the chance to post it. I don’t mind noise as long as it’s not overwhelming. I’m a city girl so am quite used to the noise of the city.
What's nice about this house (and highly unusual!) is there are only TWO homes/lots in this section of Silvana Way, sort of an isolated "island" from the other homes on this street to the north (~86 yards away) & south (~206 yards away) -- so you only have one neighbor! And no neighbors/lots behind you. Just the street in front and a retention pond on the other side if it. Weird but nice seclusion-wise since usually homes (and neighbors!) are packed pretty tight together in The Villages. I'd go for it! :-) -- BR

We live near Lopez Pool. Everyone raves about the burgers. We give their burgers - 6. However Cameraman’s fish tacos look good I will need to try.

House of the Week is awesome. Linda corrects me sometimes, but she minored in English. Daizdy must have majored in English as well. 😂 All is well…AND I mean it! 😉 Leaving the flag in has bit us all. 🥴

I made country style pork ribs with a sweet smoky honey blueberry BBQ sauce. I used homemade blueberry jam. Absolutely delicious. The jam was so sweet, I couldn’t eat it on toast. This made great use of it. You could actually taste the blueberry flavor. I would make them again. I love baby back ribs, but country ribs have so much more meat on them. It’s hard for me to eat an entire rib. I made mixed veggies with white sauce and fried potatoes and onions.

I'm watching this video on the lanai of the house on the Historic side that I rented for the week. There is a big Florida summer thunderstorm going on with lightning. Fortunately I got back to the rental house 30 minutes before the storm started. House Of The Week was lovely...I guessed $800K. 1921's menu looked quite out of the ordinary.
1921 is a little different but with some old favorite’s thrown in there. Something for everyone.

I was surprised to see the name of the restaurant in Mt Dora, as Van Aken is a major district in Shaker Heights, OH, where I used to live and work. I think the last time I've had a hushpuppy was years ago, when we lived in Nashville. We lived there in the 70s, during my elementary school years, and then I went back in the early 80s, for college. Ted took me to Nashville for my 50th birthday, and it's changed so much. That was ten years ago, I hardly recognize it now, when I see videos. Those ribs looked outstanding! Glad Cameraman enjoyed his Wreckfish. That's a new one, for me. Virginia Trace is such a great location! And you know a Lantana is my fave. I spyed Cameraman at 19:04. Thanks for another great video, as usual.
Interesting with the name coincidence. Who would have thought that hush puppies could be served like that. Virginia Trace is so convenient for just about everything you need. Thanks for contributing.

I really enjoy your show but you say, "AND" waaaay too much. You're the only person I've seen that begins practically every sentence with, "AND". It's especially bad when you're showing a house. Perhaps using a script might help.
I agree, cameraman is always telling me about that. We are not going to use a script though. When I do house of the week I say what I think as I go around, it’s natural and what I think at the time. It wouldn’t be the same with a script
Beautiful home. I am not a fan of hot tubs. Bacteria harbingers. Owners should be responsible to remove if buyers don’t want it. I would almost make that bedroom with the bay window my bedroom. Put a lovely window seat or loveseat there. I find it cozy. Leave the master for my guests, except the closet. Actually the house is far too large for me. It’s one of my favorite designs, but far more than I would need. However, if I could afford it, I could afford a housekeeper. I’m always surprised when I see the furniture in the lanai facing away from the outside views. Odd. It looks so much larger than 2000sf. Great use of the space. I’m going to try BBQ with a blueberry sauce. Thanks to you and Cameraman

Great show! That House of the Week is absolutely gorgeous. I'm out of state and really enjoying the tours of the various locations. That Sea Breeze Rec Center is just my style!

Groovy video. Love the old school TV sitcom show style. Are their two story houses in The Villages. And is there indoor, outdoor shooting ranches for gun shooters/
Good morning. There are a few two story houses but not many. We have a shooters world near Brownwood and several Air Gun ranges. Also other shooting options just outside the villages.
What does your office look like? Is the office in the villages? 🌺
Our office is on county road 466 in the villages. I don’t have a photo of it but it’s a three story building with about 4 businesses in there

Great job on the new intro...hats off to you & Cameraman. I guessed $850K on house of the week...the birdcage was huge. Sammy's Restaurant looked excellent. I have read complaints on line that the 🍕 pizza offerings in & near The Villages are lacking. Maybe Sammy's can fill the pizza void.

My favorite pizza ever is also from Sammy’s but in Duluth Minnesota. The crust is very thin. The sauce is incredible and their Italian sausage is made in-house. However, if you want to really savor it, cheese, sausage or pepperoni(yucky) are my recommendations. I love cold pepperoni or in a grilled cheese and pepperoni sandwich, just not on pizza. It’s too salty and greasy. I have a recommendation for you or cameraman and that is to try the soup in an Italian restaurant if it’s an accompaniment to your meal or even if it’s not. It’s generally delicious. I don’t buy it, but my nephew does and if he likes it, I taste it and write the ingredients on a napkin and try to duplicate it at home. Usually mine is better, sometimes not, but still very good. His favorite is cream of pepperjack soup. He says mine is better. In your intro, I miss the dog that gets dropped from a spacecraft.
Hello Cynthia. Interesting comments as usual. Cameraman was going to try the soup but they didn’t have anything without meat. The dog is still there, cameraman left it in because he knows you like it.
The new graphics are great! Sammy’s has very good food too. Sorry about England’s loss to Spain, Cameraman.

Absolutely ❤️ the new intro! You had me at the mid-century modern font and graphics! House of the week has the best outdoor entertaining area I've seen in the Villages. Unfortunately the Somerville's kitchen doesn't have much storage. But wow! What a lot!

We have gotten carry out steak n cheese sub it’s the best around. We will try Sammy’s. But I’m still waiting for you to try Gio’s Deli which is also on 301 south of Sammy’s. That place is always crowed. We will try eating dinner at Sammy’s

Jim & I went to Scooples for the first time in May. We got a hot fudge sundae that was awesome! I may have to get that grilled cheese panini and potato salad that Camerman had! We were also surprised when we went that they serve breakfast and lunch, too. Cute decor and great wait staff make this a winner in our book!
I agree. We are planning on going back and trying a hotdog and some kind of icecream sundae
House Of The Week is lovely. Location is A+. First I guessed $310K, then I bumped my guess up to $325K. I also did not know Scooples served sandwiches & hot dogs. Can't believe Barnstorm Theater is allowed to stay empty...could apartments be coming there???

Lots of channels on the Villages now. Each has its own merits, but yours gives week to week updates on homes and current prices. The fact that you include restaurant reviews and golf sure gives people new to the Villages a good idea of what life in the Villages is all about. The craft shows are amazing! We bought several one of a kind paintings at craft shows. Scooples is a hidden treasure. Great video! Great to see more and more subscribers! Means you are showing what people like and need. 👏👏🤗❤️

Thanks for your videos! Question - Is there fiber internet available in TV? I'll be looking in about 2 years and will be looking in the SS and LSL areas. Also, I heard the electricity is run underground but I do see the towers in parts. I'm wondering about power outages. Thanks :)
Hi. Fiber internet is available. In the area that you are looking at the electricity is underground. There are a couple of areas with towers, I’m not sure if that is villages related or just passing through. What I can tell you is that during Hurricane Irma there were no power outages. In the newer areas in the south of the villages a lot of the electricity is above ground and there does seem to be a lot of cables and towers on view. Although you are 2 years out, if you have any questions or you need advice on anything Villages related, I will be happy to help. That is the cutest little colony patio villa that I've seen. I really like it's decor. That rarely happens. I didn't know that Scooples had more than just ice cream! We haven't gone down to Brownwood since our lifestyle visit. We'll have to check it out.
