I always felt like General Powell would have been a great President. I’m glad that he didn’t become a politician. I think the big money groups would have taken advantage of him, similar to what happened to President GW Bush.

An insightful man from a time when men were free to speak their mind even when their words spawned from their souls. Who can agree with all that a man says but who can deny him his words? I think the answer has become abundantly clear for those with eyes to see and ears to hear, even in the silence we face today.

His optimism was uplifting, if not always true... The world is NOT better every day unless you align yourself with the Forces of Evil... This downward spiraling is prophesied by scripture and even acknowledged by Harvey himself in his 1965 essay, "If I Were The Devil. "...

I know I definitely miss him along with my Dad. I remember going in to town to eat lunch with Dad, especially on Fridays/payday, when Mom would pick up his check to pay bills. The best part of those days was getting to sit with Dad for that hour AND listening to Paul Harvey's noon show!!! The calm in his voice, the sound/tone of his voice always seemed to give me calm and hope, hope that everything wrong could turn out alright!! Miss and love them both!! May there be peace and much Love and a Good Day, for all!!!

My Dad was born six months before Pearl Harbor happened, the youngest of 9 children, with the 2 before him having been stillborn or surviving only hours. He was legally blind by the age of 8, though he has always been colorblind. It was via the likes of Paul Harvey's broadcast that he both stood and walked his path, with grace and mercy having been bestowed/bestown upon/by him, and touched so many lives with his optimism, gratefulness, and kindness, willing to help others always, in any way possible, making a way for anything that had been impossible beforehand. I cherish the many memories of listening to the rest of so many stories with my Daddy and the spirit with which they were delivered by Mr. Harvey. Along with the good days that may not have been otherwise. ❤️

He affected nearly everyone i knew, and many people knew in many cases, listening to his noon broadcasts and we had this enjoyment together sharing this daily experience.
