There have been many ghost bands doing Kenton over the years with some success. The RIAS Band with Jiggs Whigham is by far the finest so far. Close your eyes and it's the true artistry of Stan's band. I'm writing this nearly 25 years after this video was made. Perfection.

Thanks for that great comment. I was happy to tape this full concert on german TV a few days after it was recorded in the studio. Since then it was never repeated. I was also in the audience and until today I remember that concert very clearly.
The legendary Bud Shank has an extended solo about 17 minutes in. Rare.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
the ultimate treat for me having grown to musicianship with this Stan Kenton music,, Thank you so much from the bottom of my soul
Nice tribute to "Stan the Man" and to the memory of JVO..one of the greats! Thanks for posting!
Greetings from Missouri to Herr Peters und Herr Gaucl you both sound fantastic!
Wonderful, with Les Dawson on drums.
Hallo Jazz Ray! Thanks very much for the missing title. I appreciate it very much.
The only complaint I have about this video is that the sound levels were so low I had to CRANK the volume to around 80% to get the KENTON sound that used to blow me away back in the day. There was no other band for me or a vocal group to match the Four Frosh!

Hi JazzBuff23! That would be great if you can do that. I´m not such a technical buff.
With your permission I would like to separate the tunes into individual pieces and use your description on each number. I will give you full credit for the original post.
She was pretty Hot! Oh, this was all about Jazz?
