had the same problem lost 16 young canary's. checked for cocci salmonella but were clear, put them on Trimethoprim sulfa never lost another one since

Could be cocci with all this hot weather we’ve been having , I treat all mine with Acox , the young can have it from 8wks of age and I give to my breeders 4wks before I pair them up

Watching from Spain where a recent change to the law makes it virtually impossible to dispose of excess birds. Personally having to stop breeding altogether. Sadly I bred 5 blue mutation redrumps that I shall have to keep despite being short of room for them :(

Yes. Normally around 15°C tubular heater with built in thermostat.

Hi. No. That's their crop. They store the food in there neck before it goes down into their stomach.

As cinnamon is a sex linked variety , your normal looking cock must be split for cinamon and this baby would be a hen .

Cheers, Cede -either yellow canary, red canary or Foreign finch. I add seaweed, fried herbs, thrive on, carrot and brocoli. Also millet and sometimes soak seed.

Wood chip when I can get it. And millet seed husks, I should clean more ofter. But there's so much wasted seed on the floor also.

With the Parrot finch chicks you should notice a slightly bluer green than the others if you have a Sea Green mutation (unless of course they are all Sea Greens or all Normals).
