Good to see you feeding your birds wild grass seed heads. I've tried a few & my birds seem to prefer bunches of False oat-grass (Arrhenatherum elatius). Normally gathered them from the roadside on quiet country lanes. They're tall & easily picked, you can store them in a dry corner for a few months. Haven't tried freezing them yet but might give it a go.

I give mine the wild grasses too and it entertains them, a real treat. Are the Irish canaries a small type? Good video tanks.

Yes, the Irish Fancy are a small slender canary. I really like them.
