I received a praying mantis egg sac from my daughter. When they came out, I watched them for a day and then released all but two. I raised the two and photographed them a few times and then released them. I searched for them in my garden each day and photographed them. I was able to move them from plant to plant. Sometimes it took a lot of searching to find them. Then one day, one of the now fully grown mantises had caught the tree frog that frequented our yard for two years. I had previously won an award with a photo of the tree frog. The praying mantis ate it! My wife was upset. A few days later, I found the two mantises making love. It was a case of fatal attraction for the male. I looked for them the next day and only found the female. Praying mantises are very aggressive hunters. They not only eat cute tree frogs, but if given a chance, they will eat hummingbirds at a feeder. I would guess with your releasing so many mantises, you may have seen them eating creatures larger than themselves. They are fearless and aggressive, but a lot of fun to photograph.

If the product was an opaque matte white glass shampoo and conditioner instead, what colour would you make the boxes? The background would be white paper? Thank you

You're not using this kind of gear properly. Just buy an automated focus rail and do serious stackings to get any amazing results, this magnification is not for hand-held shooting. To be honest hand-held staking works OK-ish only for 2:1 magnification ratio maximum. This gear here is intended for extreme macro.

Great tips...but...I'd be saving leg power and using a godox trigger on camera to change all of your light outputs.
