Kind of embarrassing how this classroom has better microphone projection than most hardcore venues.

Wiretap Scars is a great album. Maybe not every album they made was a success, but Wiretap Scars is great. And as much as I love the passion and enthusiasm Cedric and Omar bring... Jim does work.

So everyone who thought he was being a dick didnt know about his ma?
@Xaymot11 жыл бұрын
Well his mother died. Immediately most fans blamed him for deflating the reunion due to his reserved performance. His integrity to meet his musical obligations was just seen as an easy cashing of a paycheck. To a degree even the band blamed him but none of them expected him to "get over it" and perform the way he used to given the circumstances. It was just a shitty situation.

This is fucking brilliant. The spirit, as Zane Lowe said, that went into this performance makes it magical. Is this their best song though?
@TheCynicalPinnacle11 жыл бұрын
Just because it was sloppy doesn't mean it was bad; for me, the obscene amounts of dissonance created by Omar sounds sick as fuck. for others it'll sound awful for that exact reason. There's a reason I keep coming back to this performance.

That's because Sparta sucks and The Mars Volta has had a really good run. They are very good instrumentalists, but every instrumentalist writes differently with different musicians. Sparta just didn't do those guys justice, it wasn't the right mix to show off their strengths. I wanted to like Sparta, but you have to admit they kind of suck. Especially in comparison to this stuff.
