Functional Nutrition Alliance

Functional Nutrition Alliance

Andrea and her team of Nutrition Counselors educate, motivate, and counsel both clinicians and patients in their journey to understand the role of diet & lifestyle modification for both optimal health outcomes-even from the most chronic and debilitating conditions and diagnoses-as well as disease prevention. They use Andrea’s unique root cause resolution systems and approaches, which align with Functional Medicine practices, while focusing specifically on the modifiable lifestyle factors.

At the Functional Nutrition Alliance we recognize the GAP in medicine. It’s our mission to fill it! Medicine is not wrong or bad. Yet too often it isn't enough. We need a new kind of clinician to fill the GAPs (there are many!) in care, and help empower patients to maximize their SELF care. There is so much that can be done using diet and lifestyle modification, if you have the right tools

    Loved this, learned so much, never knew any of this background. I learned there is more to fasting that just the health benefits, I feel like I am missing something when I fast. So how can one connect to the spiritual side of fasting?

    Andrea is an amazing, gifted instructor. I am a recent graduate and had considered several options for functional nutrition training and took my time deciding. I am so grateful for having chosen Functional Nutrition Alliance, it has exceeded my expectations and I'm already practicing; people need this work.

    Hi Andrea! I had a question/thought , somewhat related to this and also to the kidney video, I'll just post it here. Its a bit confusing to me which bodily systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, muscular, nervous system, skeletal, etc.) and which organs benefit from MORE use (i.e. stresses/challenges) versus which ones do not. For example, as a personal trainer my goal is to get people to "stress"/challenge their cardio system, and their muscular system, because the stresses/challenges make those systems stronger. However this video is making me notice how the case is the opposite for our filtration organs. Can you speak to which bodily systems/organs benefit from regular stressing/challenges vs. which ones don't ???

    I’m a certified nutrition health coach and I’m not practicing because my training program was so vague. I don’t feel prepared to clinically help someone’s health. I’m going through a functional nutrition course off of Brasil that is amazing but I don’t know how to implement because I’m not really aware of the labs I’m allowed to do. With your school do we have access to labs and do we learn how to interpret them?

  • @marcelamedeiros260
    @marcelamedeiros260 Жыл бұрын

    @@nmerchant79 i Dont remember the curriculum but their program is about how you can be accountable for someone, helping you finding your niche, teaching about coaching which is all about listening and providing tools to help them achieve goals. There are a lot of lessons with amazing people that opened up my mind to new things which was great. But it wasn’t what I was looking for, concerning evaluations and labs. They are more broad to what they teach and than after the program you still have to continue taking courses to specialize yourself. But you won’t learn how to interpret labs, correlate micronutrient deficiencies with symptoms which was what I need to understand more about the person to better help a person. So for me, though amazing people on there it wasn’t enough based on what I’d like to do.

    @@marcelamedeiros260 Yeah I found the curriculum very vague not very organized and that’s why I have chosen to go with Andrea . at least try it out for a month and see how that goes I may lose $200 but it’s at least worth trying it out since that seems like more focused on understanding anatomy and physiology biohemistry probably not a lot in depth but the important pieces of how all the systems work together.

    @@marcelamedeiros260 I will God willing in case I forget just remind me on this chat. I should have a good idea by December 7 after a month but I read a lot of reviews and 1 person said the first system is very much in depth which is the digestive which is the covered in the first month and then the rest are not as in-depth. But I will not know that until after a few months. So either way we can keep in touch. you may want to look at reviews on trust pilot also.

You recommended we get that book, so you're saying here that once we do the other prior recommended processes we could use this protocol if it was suitable for the situation?? I'm enjoying it very much. So is it worth following it myself if I have Hoshimotos and fatigue and diabetes which is under control. Thanks, Andrea!

    @@ReplenishPDX I am currently taking the 9 month program to recieve my Functional Nutrition Alliance Certification 🙂 Most of the extras like the podcasts and expert interviews are more of a refresher for me...I have been researching the holistic naturopathic ways for over 15 years. I love wild edibles and learning about plant medicine. Also have helped set up the first cannabis dispensary in Illinois. So I am well versed on these types of approaches. However I am enjoying the course material...figuring out how the body works and "whats going on in there" really helps tie it all together ❤️ Greatful for all that the team has done to get others educated in epigenetics and other amazing tools for putting the health back into people's hands! 👏🥰

    Amazing, but it will not work for 98% of the audience but you yourself know that! The fact is that Tolle's "Pain Body" (or whatever it is) turns out to have a physical body too (kind of a cyborg), which works reflexively, automatically and constantly! You must discover it in yourself first.
