  When I was 14 I went vegan and bought in to all this ‘non-toxic’ bullshit from social media influencers. I started using a fluoride free toothpaste, my parents didn’t understand what fluoride was or does, and within six months got 3 huge cavities in my teeth. It was a mix of eating vegan foods (many of which are very high in sugar) and using fluoride free toothpaste. My dentist and my mother were absolutely shocked when I went for my check-up and discovered that. Don’t learn it the hard way- use fluoride toothpaste it’s so important! I’m 23 now and never had a cavity since.
