Hang on ...I think at the 6:45 mark you can hit all 3 opponents for 14 since it does not specify that Bloodthirster attacks alone ...it is an additonal combat phase.Then the ixalan demon can do lose of life
The new oko is great for this deck. Gives you a free food token every turn. That with gilded goose. Your getting at least two food tokens per turn. Plus oko can turn your opponents threats into 3/3 elk.

Thousand years elixir doesn't give your activated ability creatures haste. they can activate their abilities but they cannot attack.
Commander is fun at a 8-7 usually games last like 1 hour
Great video and reflection on the community aspect of the game. It is a big part why I stuck with learning it.

Doesn't give you haste. Your creatures still have summoning sickness but they can still use tap abilities.

haven't seen it in the comments yet, but Maskwood Nexus is absolutely TERRIFIC with Atla. All your creatures are every creature types while it's on the field? HELL YEAH! basically swap opponent priority from destroying your big fellas to destroying it asap, since all your creatures are eggs until it leaves.
Wouldn't auqeous form work well in this deck? It's like one blue, cresture can't be blocked, when it attacks scry 1-2 I forget
My "Rakdos Party Deck" was my first real commander deck. I still have it and have been thinking about rebuilding/building new deck. Your video gives me a lot of great ideas. Thanks a very clear concise video!
I play Zurgo Helmsmasher with 12 board wipes, a few equips, control and ramp. Simple man, simple plan. We smash or go home.
7 is lightly optimized. Fast mana is fine, as long as the deck isn't optimized to capitalize on it hard. Like if you're playing a pet card Chulane deck with fast mana I don't care, Chulane is just for draw and that's fine. If you're running a casual control deck but you're running fast mana. That just speeds up how fast you can lock down the game and stop others from doing things. However you plan to control. When we play we usually go by how we know each other's decks. If I had to lable them I have a mono green 8, an upgraded precon at 6-7 (it's just effective at doing it's job, it's not fast, but it's extremely consistent and powerful) then I have a brewed aristocrats orzhov deck which is maybe a 3-4 because I don't have all the resources I need to make it what I want it to be so it feels hollow and unable to achieve its goal aside from.having tokens and sacrificing them. If I can make enough and sacrifice enough I can still gain a lead, but it's not typical to do so because the amount of resources in it are low. I have a mono white gnome kindred with Oswald fiddlebender but it's commander matters so if they blow him up a few times I have a hard time. It's jank, but probably a 3-4 because if I'm ignored I'll go crazy, but why would you ignore the tutor artifact guy. After that I have a base precon I want to make into a theme deck.
I dont really understand the chanelling interaction. I mean, even if everyone is an egg atla dies at the same time that the rest of the eggs because the damage is all done simultaneously. The moment atla triggers its the same moment when she dies so why does it resolves?
I’m pretty sure it’s instantaneous. That’s why people run mirror entity because if they use it as a 0/0 everything dies but also becomes eggs for you to reset. Yeah your commander will die but her ability will work right before she does.
I did vial smasher and sakashima, you end up with 2 vial smashers and LOTS of damage

If someone tells me they're bringing a Narset deck, I'll replace all my target removal with edicts (instant speed because red gives haste to creatures). Fuck that card
And here I thought my decks were 6-7. Turns out they're at power level 2 o_0
I definitely prefer the Combat Trick and Prowess/Magecraft route over Extra Turns with Narset. Including one or two Extra Turn/Combat cards is fine, but too many is just not fun to play with or against. Not every tool in the toolbox needs to be the same screwdriver.

Awesome deck! It’s my favorite too 😊. One question. Do X spells actually trigger off of Vial smasher? I thought CMC was how much the symbols are on the cards. Ie: Jaya’s immolating inferno would do 3 damage, not how much you put into it. If I’m wrong let me know!

Kaalia is... unpredictable? Nah. Master of Cruelties takes one player out and then Kaalia player is murdered. I haven't seen her in forever because that's all I've ever seen her do. It would be nice if people did a more fair build of her for fun, but you just don't see it.
Once in mono white I ended up with 68 lives... it was nice

Karlach doesn't work with Isshin because it has the condition of "if it's the first combat phase of the turn"
Yes it does, assuming it's the first combat step of the turn she triggers on attack, the trigger gets doubled by Isshin but you would only untap once when the triggers happen so that's why you need something to give your creatures vigilance to make use of both the extra two combat steps
This commander is seriously good and as more support for it comes out it’s only going to get better

A good addition that admittedly works better with an eldrazi version of this deck is cloudstone curio. You can bounce your creatures back to your hand and replay for their etb effects for nothing or very little like rune scarred demon. If you take the eldrazi route you can bounce an ulamog and a kozilek to exile two permanents and draw 4 cards infinitely. Additionally, if you have vedalken orrery as well you could potentially save your commander by playing a creature and bouncing rakdos to your hand to save him from removal. Damage will likely have been dealt by this time or you can save one of your tap to do damage abilities and recast rakdos if you’re not worried about him being countered. This is my favorite deck and those are some tricks I found playing this deck for almost 2 years and there’s some more but I already made this long enough…

I run legendary tribal isshin. Cadric soul kindler or mirror box, flameshadow conjuring, with etali. Play the treasure token generation right and you can spam 10 etalis. With 3+ possible combat phases, in theory i could cast majority of every players deck for free

Im not competitive, so not a Spike. I dont really go for big splashy spells, so not Timmy. I dont play combos or goodstuff, but i also dont just play jank for the sake of being niche, so not Johnny. I do like the social interaction, and I love playing aggro that keeps it simple yet strong with gas. I wish WotC had a design around that. I think Tommy would fit, as im more of a tinkerer that searches for strategies to win rather than just what cards will win

Without context this can still be a 7, he has draw and mana but needs something to actually win and unless he will threaten a win by turn 5-6 than he just got a lucky pop off that can statistically happen. A couple high powered cards without a win strategy doesn't change power level. PW is based on turns to make potential wins.
